History

Sea Demon Threats

Sea Demon attacks on human islands are a recurring reality of life in the Northern Region. During breeding seasons, weak-blooded Sea Demons often invade human settlements in search of resources, making coastal warfare frequent and destructive 32 277.

Rise of Langya’s Regional Influence

Langya Merchant Association became the region’s undisputed commercial leader, then expanded into public education, communication infrastructure, forums, games, and regional broadcasts. Its influence altered public attitudes toward Sacred Grounds and created new opportunities for ordinary cultivators 221 239 352.

Human–Demon Contact

Young Demon Race prodigies were permitted to enter the Northern Region for exchanges with human prodigies, while their elders remained behind in the Eastern Region 286. Later, Wang Mu and Di Bailian established diplomatic relations between the Northern Region’s Human Race and the Eastern Region’s Demon Race, planning shipping routes and the “Ends of the Earth” initiative 399.

Holy Arrival Crisis

Rebellious feudal lords, aided by modified monsters with regenerative bodies and poisonous techniques, ignited widespread war across the Northern Region 440. The Holy Arrival Meeting and allied forces—including Sacred Grounds, Ancient Clans, and outside powers—launched coordinated attacks on Northern Darkness Sacred Ground, the Wang Family, and major cities 447.

To preserve the population and consolidate military strength, Wang Mu ordered the relocation of all living beings in the Northern Region to the North Sea. Northern Darkness and Wang Family experts raised immense landmasses from beneath the sea to house them 448.

Recovery and Unification

Ten years after the Quasi-Emperor was repelled, the Northern Region had expelled the Holy Arrival Meeting and forced the Primal Beginning Sacred Ground, Qiankun Sacred Ground, and Four Great Ancient Clans to retreat 460. After the later world-ending war, the Five Regions united and began trading openly with one another 463.
