Background / History

The Empress sits with Xu Changqing in his courtyard above the Great Dao Sea, where they observe the projected lives of Shi Hao, Ye Fan, and Chu Feng. She questions the harsh, ill-suited environments Xu Changqing chose for Ye Fan and Chu Feng, noting that Ye Fan's technological world contains almost no spiritual energy and that Chu Feng's three-path cultivation contradicts his world's rune-focused environment 283.

She and Xu Changqing are husband and wife and have one daughter, Xu Jingxian. During Wushi's visit to propose to Xu Jingxian, the Empress's disapproval is identified as the remaining obstacle rather than Xu Changqing's 283.

After watching the three Heavenly Emperors complete their reincarnation journeys, the Empress intervenes in Xu Changqing's battle against them. She beats both Shi Hao and Xu Changqing, preventing Shi Hao from being sent into reincarnation a second time 283.

Following the gathering, she accompanies Xu Changqing through the Upper Heaven. They later visit Si Ya and Mu Miaomiao, women whose memories of Xu Changqing return after his departure; Xu Changqing tells the Empress not to disturb their peaceful new lives 283.
