Background / History
Wushi emerged from the Jade Pond ten thousand years after the Chaotic Ancient Great Emperor’s Dao marks vanished. He rose during a Golden Age filled with special physiques and Heavenly Prides, rapidly becoming the dominant young cultivator of the Eastern Wasteland. His physical body allowed him to defeat opponents of higher realms and counter-kill pursuers who underestimated him. 168 169
He possesses the Innate Saint Body Dao Embryo, a physique combining the qualities of an Innate Dao Embryo and a Human Race Saint Body. Xu Changqing identifies him as Wuzhong’s reincarnation, though Wushi initially has neither Wuzhong’s memories nor awareness of that past identity. 169
Wushi’s first meeting with Xu Jingxian became his first true challenge. After waiting until he reached her realm, Xu Jingxian fought him near the Desolate Ancient Forbidden Land and ultimately defeated him, leaving him nearly dead. The loss ended his previous high-spirited certainty and drove him to cultivate with greater steadiness and focus. 169 170 171
Appearance
Wushi is a tall, imposing young man who usually dresses in white. In his youth, he has thick black hair, wise eyes that flash like lightning in battle, and a composed, majestic bearing. 169 170
- White robes, later frequently stained with blood during his Emperor Tribulation. 170 174
- Thick black hair and a tall, straight figure. 169 173
- A physical presence powerful enough to shatter void space through ordinary movement. 172
- In later years, his appearance changes into that of a bearded, more robust man. 179
Personality
Wushi is intensely proud of his strength, but his pride is centered on cultivation rather than status. Before meeting Xu Jingxian, he had few peers capable of forcing him to use his full power, leaving him without friends or meaningful rivals. Her ability to suppress him excites rather than discourages him; he regards a powerful opponent as a source of growth. 170
His first defeat makes him more reserved and diligent. Though he remains unconvinced by the loss, he turns the experience into motivation, studying Xu Jingxian’s techniques and rapidly improving through repeated clashes. 170 171
Despite being regarded as an invincible Great Emperor, Wushi is willing to seek instruction. During his Dao discussion with Xu Changqing, the Empress, and Xu Jingxian, he asks questions sincerely and without arrogance. 177 178
Abilities & Skills
