History

Before Great Chu was established, the martial world was dominated by sects, gangs, and aristocratic martial families. Zhao Yingchun abandoned his martial-family status to follow Taizu during the period of internal and external turmoil that preceded Great Chu's founding. 49

Zhao Yingchun later helped establish the Martial Artist Association and became a pioneer of Great Chu's martial arts era. Through the Tianshan Reform, he challenged sectarian and clan-based martial inheritance, replacing it with a university system and combining martial arts with technology to develop the modern Qi-Blood Martial Dao. 48 49

Martial Arts and Education

Great Chu's mainstream cultivation system is the Qi-Blood Martial Dao, regarded as the fastest method of strengthening oneself for Blue Star physiques. Other cultivation paths are studied to prepare practitioners for the fifth-stage path of Hearing the Dao and to raise martial arts' long-term ceiling, rather than replace Qi-Blood cultivation. 667

Violent incidents and Demonic Path activity are generally suppressed quickly, though the Demonic Path cannot be wholly eradicated while Demon Nests and the temptation of shortcut-based power remain. 28 91

During the Qi-Blood Martial Dao era, Great Chu is regarded as the world's foremost martial arts power, possessing the largest number of Seventh Great Limit experts. 484

Demon Nest Response

A surge of Demon Nest unrest led Great Chu's major universities to mobilize nationwide. One Level Three Demon Nest incident in western Hunan caused more than ten thousand deaths and displaced hundreds of thousands before Emei Martial University's principal killed its thousand-year Corpse King. 232

In response to later Demon Nest riots, Great Chu began relocating residents of small towns within one hundred kilometers of Demon Nests into expanded major cities. It also upgraded city defenses, assigning Fifth Limit Venerables to garrison major cities such as Yong'an. 629

Great Chu can assemble nearly ten thousand Grandmasters into a nine-palace military formation aligned with yin-yang, the Five Elements, mountains, rivers, and the Big Dipper. 621
