"He bet Luffy would win?"

Zoro stopped in his tracks and looked at Perona with a puzzled expression. Was that really something a Marine Admiral would do?

He was a Marine.

"I don't know what's going on either, but that's exactly what he said." Perona said, "And he didn't attack us."

Zoro fell silent for a moment before nodding. "I don't know what's going on, but since he didn't attack you, what he said should be true."

After all, with a Marine Admiral's strength, taking down Perona and the others would have been effortless.

But since he had not done so, it meant he had no hostile intentions for the time being.

With that in mind, Zoro temporarily relaxed.

"Don't worry." Perona said, "If he really wanted to attack us, he would have done it long ago."

Just as Galette had said, if a Marine Admiral wanted to kill them, he would have acted already. There was no need to sit there waiting.

"Yeah."

Zoro nodded, then turned his gaze toward the distance. "Let's deal with the enemy here first."

If they did not take down that Stone Monster, who knew what might happen? It was better to deal with him first.
