Xi Yan, Ivankov, and Inazuma used Xi Yan’s Earth Release Technique to reach Impel Down’s Sixth Floor, where they learned that Fire Fist Ace had already been taken away. As Ivankov attacked the noisy prisoners, the three were left without a clear way to catch up with Ace.

• Ivankov explained that Molly had used the Push-Push Fruit to create the New Okama Kingdom, giving Xi Yan the idea to travel through the earth directly to the Sixth Floor.
• Xi Yan carried the group underground, and Inazuma lit the way with a fire starter as they approached the Sixth Floor.

After learning Ace had already been transferred, Xi Yan resolved to go to Navy Headquarters and recruited Crocodile and Jinbe to help him. Magellan discovered that Sixth Floor surveillance was still down and went to check whether the prisoners had escaped.

• Jinbe told Xi Yan that Ace had left at least half an hour earlier, and Ivankov estimated that the group had about twenty-four hours before Ace’s execution.

• Magellan caught up with the fleeing prisoners, so Xi Yan raised rock walls across the spiral staircase and placed Exploding Tags on them before leaving with Ivankov.
• Magellan blasted through the walls, triggering the Exploding Tags, and Xi Yan sent a wave of ordinary water down the stairs that swept Magellan back toward the Fourth Floor.

• Xi Yan realized Bon Clay had gone to find the Gate of Justice Switch, promised Luffy he would bring him back, and told the others to head for the Gate of Justice while he caught up afterward.

• Jailers and a medical soldier tried to treat Magellan’s bleeding arm, but each attempt failed when the wound reverted to its original state.
