Alone in the dormitory, Klein smiled as he cut off the flow of magic and turned his attention back to his book.
Voldemort was still far too weak. If Klein didn't give him a hand, the poor fellow probably wouldn't even make it out of Baljiria.
His first term was already more than halfway over, and many things were proceeding as he'd expected.
Life was peaceful.
Good.
He really enjoyed this feeling.

Unfortunately, good things never lasted. Crabbe and Goyle shoved the dormitory door open with such force that they made quite a racket. Klein's rare moment of peace was gone just like that.
"Boss Klein, there you are! I was wondering why we couldn't find you anywhere." "You didn't have dinner, did you? We brought you some pies."
The two chubby boys didn't think before they acted, but they meant well.

He gave them a friendly smile, then dug into the paper bag without hesitation and stuffed a pie into his mouth.
