And so, Ichinose and Takahashi Rin-sensei quickly led Class B to the natatorium, preparing to discuss the details of the assessment plan with Yasuda-sensei.
However, when they arrived at the natatorium, they didn't see Yasuda-sensei. Instead, they found Ryuen Kakeru surrounded by ten Water People.
He was being beaten within the circle, completely unable to fight back, yet he showed no signs of anger. Instead, he was knocked down again and again, only to get up each time.
"What's going on? Where's Yasuda-sensei?" Ichinose asked, a hint of surprise in her voice.
Ryuen Kakeru glanced at them, a challenging smile on his face.
"Yasuda-sensei? If you want to find him, you'll have to get past me first. As long as someone can defeat me, I'll tell you where he is."
His gaze swept across the students of Class B, finally landing on Itozawa. "What, Itozawa, want to try again? Or does anyone else here have the guts?"
Itozawa hesitated, contemplating whether to accept the challenge. He knew Ryuen Kakeru's strength was not to be underestimated. Although he was familiar with his attacks and his own ability should perform better, he wasn't sure of a guaranteed victory.
Takahashi Rin-sensei, however, had lost patience. She coldly uttered the word "Purify."
The word seemed to possess magic. Instantly, the ten Water People vanished as if evaporated, leaving no trace.
Ryuen Kakeru felt a transparent barrier suddenly appear around him. He was trapped in a clean circle, unable to let anything in or out.
Even more shocking to him was the feeling that his own power was being slowly purified by this circle.
"This is..." A flicker of panic flashed in Ryuen Kakeru's eyes. His power was suppressed, his body restrained. This was a situation he had never encountered before.
Takahashi Rin-sensei's voice was calm yet powerful. "Ryuen Kakeru, I don't want to fight you, but I need to find Yasuda-sensei.
If you don't tell us his whereabouts, I don't mind keeping you here for a while longer until you change your mind."
Ryuen Kakeru felt his ability being severely suppressed. He knew Takahashi Rin-sensei's power far exceeded his imagination.
But Ryuen Kakeru's panic lasted only a moment. Soon, a sinister grin curved his lips.
He looked around. The transparent barrier shimmered faintly in the sunlight, as if taunting him.
He took a deep breath, seemingly savoring the feeling of being challenged.
"Teacher... do you think such a petty trick can trap me?"
A hint of mockery laced Ryuen Kakeru's voice as his body began to emit an Indomitable Aura.
"I, Ryuen Kakeru, am not so easily defeated."
His eyes sharpened, as if searching for a weakness in the barrier.
He raised his hands slightly, faint light gathering at his fingertips.
"Challenges like this only make me more excited."
Ryuen Kakeru's sinister grin revealed a touch of arrogance. His body began to emit stronger energy fluctuations. Although these fluctuations were contained by the barrier, they still conveyed the hidden power within him.
"The more you try to suppress me, the more I will prove that no one can control Ryuen Kakeru."
He began to try to impact the barrier with his power. Each impact was accompanied by a low roar. His body quickly left afterimages on the barrier.
Although each impact made him feel his strength draining, there was no hint of retreat in his eyes.
A flicker of surprise crossed Takahashi-sensei's eyes. While this Word Spirit was quite effective against object-type abilities, with his level of ability, he shouldn't have been able to resist at all.
He didn't expect him to still be able to generate energy. A hint of admiration flashed in Takahashi-sensei's eyes, and his voice softened.
"We just want to know Yasuda-sensei's whereabouts. As soon as you tell us, I'll release you immediately."
Ryuen Kakeru ignored her goodwill and sneered, "If I agreed so easily, wouldn't I seem like I was afraid of you? If you can subdue me, I'll tell you naturally."
He then continued his assault, his body moving like a gale within the barrier, constantly probing, searching for a breakthrough.
Meanwhile, Yasuda-sensei, sensing his water being purified, immediately knew Takahashi Rin-sensei had arrived.
Yasuda-sensei's figure suddenly appeared as if a Ghost, his arrival accompanied by a ripple of water, like a call from the sea.
The moment his eyes met Takahashi Rin-sensei's, a flicker of pleasant surprise flashed in them, and the corners of his mouth turned up slightly, as if he were about to directly ask her purpose.
However, when his gaze swept over the others, especially noticing Ryuen Kakeru still standing clearly within the barrier, his surprised expression quickly faded, replaced by one of feigned anger.
His body paused slightly, and the step he was about to take halted.
Then, with a slight movement of his fingers, the scattered water streams under his control quickly converged like obedient servants, forming solid water walls that violently impacted Takahashi Rin's Domain.
The power of the water walls was immense, capable of breaking through any obstacle. Under their assault, the barrier was quickly overwhelmed, water scattering and splashing in all directions.
But amidst the chaos, the water that should have fallen on Takahashi-sensei "coincidentally" bypassed her, heading towards the other students.
Takahashi-sensei frowned, her lips moved, and she softly uttered the word "Burn."
The word seemed to carry a mysterious power, and the surrounding air trembled slightly.
The other students didn't feel anything strange. Instead, they cried out in alarm, preparing to scatter away from the water droplets.
Only the perceptive Itozawa felt a brief rise in the surrounding temperature, as if an invisible wave of heat had instantly swept through.
The water mist, about to splash onto the students, rapidly evaporated the moment it came into contact with this wave of heat.
The water mist turned into wisps of thin white smoke in the air, then quickly dissipated, leaving no trace.
Although the other students were somewhat bewildered, they quickly calmed down.
Yasuda-sensei looked at her darkening, angry gaze and flinched, knowing his act of misplaced anger had been seen through.
At this critical moment, Ichinose stepped in. She immediately sensed the wrong atmosphere and walked between them, interrupting Takahashi-sensei's glare.
"Yasuda-sensei, we need to talk to you about the assessment."
Yasuda-sensei nodded quickly, a hint of gratitude in his eyes. "The assessment? Alright, let's talk."
He led Ichinose and the students towards his office, ready to hear their plan. Takahashi, though displeased, followed.
