A white flash erupted, illuminating the entire gloomy wasteland.

From the white magic circle above the Corrupted Fairy's head, a bombardment formed of pure radiance blasted forth, tearing through the air as it shot straight at Leo.

Clearly, the Corrupted Fairy's first target was still Leo, who had just interfered with her.

The Corrupted Fairy's malice could not have been more obvious. It filled her beautiful face with a viciousness that ruined her goddess-like beauty.

She would not rest until she had completely eliminated anything that offended her eyes. What the Corrupted Fairy displayed was a venomous cruelty unlike that of any monster.

Had the Giant Battle Suit not protected him and absorbed much of the damage and impact, Leo would never have been able to react in time and evade that attack.

"[I race like a comet.]"

His vision swallowed by the intense flash, Leo activated his flight magic almost on reflex. Turning into a comet of extreme speed, he shot into the sky and evaded the aurora beam, which struck the rocks behind him and blasted them apart.

"Laaaaaaaa!"

Seeing her sure-hit attack evade her, the Corrupted Fairy cried out in fury again. She swung her tentacles repeatedly, turning them into massive serpents that slithered in every direction and lunged desperately at the comet soaring skyward.

Naturally, those tentacles could never catch up to Leo, who could accelerate without limit.

But that was also the weakness of this flight magic. Once his speed increased too much, not even Leo, its caster, could keep up with it. He could not move flexibly, much less attack while accelerating. All he could do was charge straight ahead.
