Background

Shrek Academy is a ten-thousand-year institution whose prestige is tied to the legacy of Sea God Tang San. Its “ten-thousand-year honor” is treated by its students and leadership as both a source of pride and an obligation to defend the academy’s reputation. The Shrek Seven Devils title is its most sacred lifelong distinction, traditionally limited to seven holders at a time. 77 127

After the Shrek Inspectorate mission devastated the main team, the reserve team had to compete as Shrek’s main force under the pressure of preserving its ten-thousand-year honor. The reserve team ultimately won the tournament. 23

Mu En deliberately refused to send Inner Court reinforcements, hoping either a victory would prove the reserve team’s potential or a defeat would force the academy to abandon its complacency. Wang Yan recognized that the decision placed enormous pressure on the students’ futures and family legacies. 77

Recognition of the New Shrek Seven Devils

Exchange Student Detainment and the Ming City Standoff

Shrek sent Huo Yuhao, He Caitou, and other students to the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineer Academy as exchange students. The program was initially treated as important enough for Yan Shaozhe to personally escort the delegation. 136

The Sun Moon Empire later detained He Caitou, Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong, and other Shrek students, accusing Shrek of stealing the Metal Man Core and sheltering the former crown prince Xu He. Shrek denounced the charges as slander against its ten-thousand-year honor. 282 283

Infiltration of Shrek Academy

While Shrek’s strongest members were deployed toward the Sun Moon Empire, Jing Hongchen infiltrated Shrek Academy with Gu Yu’s assistance to rescue the Hongchen siblings. Qian Duoduo and Xian Lin’er fought to defend the academy, but Jing Hongchen’s ninth-grade defensive Soul Tool resisted their attacks. 288

After their rescue, Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen entered the Sea God Pavilion to steal treasures, while Gu Yu pursued the Ancient Golden Tree’s power. Xian Lin’er chased the escaping group but was impeded by Jing Hongchen’s Soul Tools and Gu Yu’s Dragon God aura. 288 290

Defeat and the Collapse of Shrek’s Myth

Shrek’s returning force was ambushed by the Holy Spirit Cult. Its elders and teachers launched self-destructive attacks rather than surrender, inflicting heavy losses but suffering catastrophic casualties themselves. 301

The academy lost major personnel, including Cai Mei’er, while Elder Song and other elders self-detonated to cover the retreat. Xuan Zi was gravely injured, and nearly half of Shrek’s elite students were lost in the disaster. 307

Guo Nu’s Soul Engineer Legion then cornered the survivors. To prevent further losses, Xuan Zi surrendered precious treasures and withdrew from the Sun Moon Empire in humiliation. 308 309
