"Ramen's up!"
Uncle Teuchi, the little-eyed man, worked quickly. In less than five minutes, he had prepared six small bowls of ramen.
The server smiled as she brought the bowls over to the six of them, interrupting Hanfu's thoughts.
Hanfu glanced at the ramen. The portion was small, but there was plenty of broth, and the aroma was so rich it made his stomach growl!
"Let's eat!"
Iruka clasped his chopsticks in both hands and said the customary phrase. Everyone else did the same.
When in Rome, Hanfu followed suit, mumbling the words listlessly before picking up his chopsticks and digging in.
"Delicious!"
Izumo Kamizuki, sitting beside him, had been won over by the ramen after just two sips of broth.
After tasting it, Hanfu had to admit it was excellent. No wonder it was Uncle Teuchi's ramen—it was superb!
In less than five minutes, all six of them had finished every last bite of ramen and drop of broth.
"As expected, the small bowls just aren't enough." Iruka gazed ruefully at his empty bowl, then glanced at Anko.
Anko glared at him. "I told you, we're really out of money."
"Ah, well... Can't be helped." Izumo Kamizuki set down his chopsticks and turned to the others. "Come on, let's go shopping!"
"Let's go!"
Inuzuka Sa fed Shiromaru the last of the broth and raised her hand in response.
"Woof! Woof!"
The puppy felt that broth wasn't nearly enough to fill his belly, but after barking a few times, his little owner still ignored him. How awful.
Hanfu followed them out of Futagi Ramen, trailing not too close and not too far behind, while his mind kept turning things over.
When he recognized Uncle Teuchi as the man behind Futagi Ramen, his first thought had been to invest in him.
