"Sharingan..."

Orochimaru slowly emerged from the Hot Spring Pool. His golden, vertically slit eyes narrowed slightly as he stared straight at Uchiha Nibann's eyes.

Everyone knew Orochimaru had a particular fascination with the Sharingan, but he wasn't interested in just any Uchiha Clan ninja. Only those with exceptional talent, like Shisui, Itachi Uchiha, or Sasuke, could catch his eye.

But this Uchiha Nibann standing before him didn't look particularly talented.

Still, he'd managed to use the Sharingan to cast Kasegui no Jutsu and restrain Kimimaro at a crucial moment. His abilities were decent.

"Finally, some peace and quiet."

Hanfu, disguised as Yuki Kanpyo, stepped forward and lightly tapped one of the bone spikes on Kimimaro's body. "I really hate kids. All they do is make noise all day. They're not cute at all."

"Yuki Kanpyo."

Orochimaru glanced at Takigawa Hyuga and Uchiha Nibann, who stood on either side of Hanfu, and suddenly came up with a bold guess. "You... couldn't possibly be the Abyss Leader, could you?"

"Me? The leader? Hahaha..."

Hanfu burst out laughing. "You give me too much credit, Orochimaru. Our leader is... a god!"

"A god?" Orochimaru looked perplexed.

Pain, the leader of the Akatsuki, also called himself a god. Could it be that the Abyss Leader had the Eye of the Sage, too?

"All right, let's talk about this kid."

Hanfu folded his arms and changed the subject. "Orochimaru, our organization only recruits Kekkei Genkai users. This kid qualifies, but our rules require that we ask his opinion first. If he refuses to join, then I'm afraid we'll have to decline."

"A voluntary membership policy... What an odd rule..." Orochimaru's eyes gleamed as he tried to figure out why the Abyss had such a strange rule.

Hanfu turned to Uchiha Nibann.

Nibann nodded slightly, and the
