In fact, Hanfu had already arrived before Ito Ni and Shisui, but when he saw the looks on Anko and Inuzuka Sa's faces, he decided to steer clear of trouble. So he went off on his own to explore nature.

It took Hanfu a few minutes to find the outlet of Konoha's sewer. He followed the river downstream, keeping his eyes fixed on the water. But after more than ten minutes, all he saw were waves tumbling over one another. There wasn't a single crayfish in sight.

Hanfu couldn't help laughing at Ito Ni, then sat down beside Iruka.

"Hanfu, where'd you go? You took forever," Kotetsu Hagane muttered around a mouthful of sushi.

"Downstream." Hanfu grabbed a skewer of dango and cautiously took a bite. It wasn't insanely spicy, so he ate another one as he replied, "I wanted to look for an aquatic creature!"

"So that's why you changed the picnic spot to here!"

Anko
