After returning from training camp, Tenzo, the Temporary Squad Leader of the Anbu Sixth Division, and Itachi Uchiha were summoned to Hawk's office.
"Captain." The two knocked and entered. Anbu Captain Hawk stood with his hands behind his back before the window, showing them a weathered silhouette.
"You're here."
Hawk turned to face them and said, "Tenzo, how long have you been in Anbu?"
"Well..." Tenzo put on a thoughtful expression, but he really couldn't remember how long. He could only shake his head. "Sorry, I don't remember."
That conversation had gone a bit off the rails... Hawk cleared his throat and hurriedly changed the subject. "Here's the situation, Tenzo. The latest class of Ninja Academy graduates has just come out, and Lord Hokage hopes you can temporarily leave Anbu and serve as a Jonin Instructor."
"No problem. I'm willing!" Tenzo answered loudly.
I'm a brick in the village wall. Wherever I'm needed, that's where I'll go!

Hawk nodded approvingly, then turned to Itachi and smiled. "Itachi, while Tenzo is away, you'll temporarily serve as the Sixth Division Captain. Any objections?"
"None." Itachi nodded expressionlessly.
"Work hard. The future belongs to you."
Hawk offered some encouragement, then dismissed them. "Itachi, you can go."
"Yes, sir."
After Itachi left, Hawk stepped forward and patted Tenzo on the shoulder. "Tenzo, do you know which class Lord Hokage wants you to instruct?"
Tenzo's heart stirred. He had a vague idea, but kept his expression neutral and shook his head. "I don't know."
"It's Team Seven, made up of Naruto Namikaze, Sasuke Uchiha, and Karin Uzumaki." Hawk spoke solemnly.
As expected... Tenzo nodded and solemnly promised, "Don't worry, Captain. I'll teach them all equally well and do my best to turn them into pillars of the village as
