Obito Uchiha stood atop Gyuki's head, his single eye cold as he glared furiously at the enormous mushroom cloud gradually fading before him.
"Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, I underestimated your resolve."
After Obito Uchiha had "obliterated" Kushina's distress signal, he'd taken control of Gyuki and launched a frenzied assault.
After the two monsters had fought in a earth-shaking, god-defying brawl, they'd switched to magical attacks, and finally, as expected, launched "nuclear" strikes.
But Three-Tails Isobu had actually chosen to take a Tailed Beast Bomb from the Eight-Tails head-on, using the opportunity to deliberately misdirect its own Tailed Beast Bomb toward Konoha!
From what Obito Uchiha knew of Isobu, there was no way it could have come up with something like that. The answer was obvious.
It was Kushina's plan!
She knew that she and the Three-Tails were no match for him, so she'd deliberately had the Three-Tails fire its Tailed Beast Bomb toward Konoha to alert Namikaze Minato!
I was careless... Obito Uchiha gritted his teeth. If he'd reacted fast enough, he could have used Kamui to divert the Tailed Beast Bomb before it hit Konoha!

By now, the surging flames and dark smoke were slowly dissipating from Three-Tails Isobu, revealing a huge turtle, blackened all over and scorched on the outside, tender within.
That hurts...
Isobu staggered, then crouched halfway to the ground, panting with difficulty.
All the sharp spikes on its turtle head, back, and tail had been blown off by the Tailed Beast Bomb. Its thick, sturdy shell was riddled with cracks, like a beautiful piece of porcelain on the verge of shattering.
"Kushina, are you all right?" Isobu asked weakly.
"I'm fine, Isobu. What about you?" Kushina's voice came from beneath Isobu.
When the Tailed Beast Bomb
