Facing the two Konoha gatekeepers blocking their way, Deva Path Pain coldly ordered them aside.
"Who are you? What are you doing in Konoha?" Kotetsu Hagane warily moved to Izumo Kamizuki's side. As he spoke, he quietly took out a signal flare. If these Missing-nin made so much as a suspicious move, he'd fire it and summon the whole village.
"Our purpose?"
Kisame Hoshigaki, standing nearby, grinned. "Of course, it's to collect the Tailed Beasts your Konoha has gathered."
Tailed Beasts?
Izumo Kamizuki sensed the deep malice radiating from the other man and immediately fired the signal flare.

The signal flare exploded in the sky, blazing brilliantly.
Konoha Anbu Headquarters.
A hurried knock at the door interrupted the Anbu Captain's office.
"What is it?" Taka asked, glancing sideways.
"Captain, there's a signal in the sky indicating an enemy invasion!" an Anbu ninja replied.
An enemy invasion?
Taka's heart sank.
The Fourth Hokage had gone to the Five Kage Summit and still hadn't returned. An invasion at a time like this... Taka sprang to his feet. "Summon all squads immediately!"
"Yes, sir!"
At the same time,
the Konoha Military Police Force and the Jonin Squad also sprang into action, gathering their subordinates and heading for the village entrance.
