Background / History
Mu Ye was a comparatively comfortable slacker on Earth before transmigrating into the Eastern Wasteland’s cultivation world. He awakened in the body of a Qinghe Mine handyman disciple whose previous owner had died from overwork. With a five-element mixed spirit root, the common Peiyuan Manual, and little prospect of advancement, Mu Ye initially preferred a stable, comfortable life over chasing immortality. 1
His circumstances changed when the Game Paradise interface completed its loading. Its trial game, Sword and Blade Demon Sealing, allowed him to inhabit specialized characters and eventually synchronize their learned abilities with his real body through True Mode and first-clear rewards. 2 3 5
After obtaining Mind Eye, Mu Ye used its aura detection to locate a Red Flame Crystal in Qinghe Mine, earning ten Spirit Stones. He then discovered that the mine’s Flame Energy could accelerate his real-world Crimson Flame Fist cultivation, turning his mining environment into a training ground. 6 7 11
Personality
Mu Ye approaches cultivation and danger with a gamer’s mindset: he experiments with routes, tests consequences through reloads, and pursues the most efficient solution rather than blindly accepting risks. He is highly adaptable, readily shifting between the Demon Sealer, Ranger, Thief, and Brothel Patron roles to access different abilities and social opportunities. 15 32 41
Despite his pragmatic and occasionally irreverent attitude, he repeatedly helps people in difficult circumstances. He gives Chen Li money and medicine despite the latter’s suspected status as an evil cultivator, returns Han Qi’s stolen money, and repeatedly risks himself to protect Shen Qingchan. 21 23 24 37
Mu Ye can also be ruthless when threatened. When a cultivator attempts to murder him for his spirit-field deed, Mu Ye feigns surrender, kills him at close range, incinerates the body, and destroys the evidence. 25
Abilities & Skills
Game Paradise Synchronization
True Mode initially synchronizes the selected game character with Mu Ye’s personal information and abilities. Clearing a character’s True Mode can yield a Character First Clear Treasure Chest, allowing the character’s special abilities to transfer to Mu Ye. 3 5
- True Mode provides greater rewards but does not permit mid-game saving or loading. 3
- Mu Ye’s real cultivation and learned martial arts can also synchronize back into compatible game characters. 10
- He uses repeated normal-mode attempts to study enemy patterns before attempting critical Real Mode clears. 32 36
Mind Eye
Mind Eye is a Demon Sealer ability gained from a character treasure chest.
- Perceives demons and monsters hidden by disguises. 2 6
- Detects unusual nearby auras, including the aura of Red Flame Crystal. 6
- Functions as an unusual sensory ability for a Qi Refining cultivator, who ordinarily cannot form divine sense. 6
Demon Subduing Body
The Demon Sealer’s body contains sealed power that can be activated against demons.
- Activating it produces crimson circuit-like markings across Mu Ye’s body and greatly increases his combat power against demons. 7
- Allows him to confront and kill Man-Eating Demon Foxes during the Shen Mansion incident. 5 7
- Upgrading the ability with an Ability Upgrade Book unlocks the exclusive skill Sacrificial Slash. 32
Divine Aperture Secret Martial Arts
Mu Ye’s main combat path is body cultivation through Divine Apertures, which improves physical power, resilience, and mobility.
- Crimson Flame Fist — A flame-based fist art cultivated through heat and Flame Energy. It opened Mu Ye’s first apertures, enabled his explosive close-range kill against a Qi Refining Third Layer cultivator, and was perfected at the tenth level. 10 11 25 26
- Vajra Leg — A leg art requiring endurance of bone-shattering pain; it develops resilience and powerful lower-body Divine Apertures. 14 18 19
- Wind King Leg — A stolen secret martial art that adds speed, agility, and cutting kick-force, complementing Vajra Leg’s durability. 27 30
- Sea-Covering Supreme Art — A torso-focused true martial art. Its first portion opens organ apertures; opening Mu Ye’s kidney aperture grants a major overall increase and allows the generation of true Gang Qi. 37 43 44
- Hundred Aperture Divine Power — A powerful burst used against the Dragon Demon Fish after Mu Ye reaches third grade. 23
Cultivator Techniques and Artifact Control
- Golden Blade Art — A low-level metal-element spell originally used for mining. When synchronized into the game, it can enchant a saber or greatsword with golden light capable of cutting through demons. 3 5
- Geng Metal Grass-Cutting Sword — A gold-element cutting spell used in mining and combat; Mu Ye uses it during the attack by evil cultivators. 7 49
- Light Body Technique — A low-level spell that, combined with the Thief’s innate movement talent, lets Mu Ye move like a breeze and evade heavily guarded locations. 27 28
- Object Manipulation Technique — Lets him control ordinary objects and magical artifacts; an expert mistakes it for Marquis Tianwu’s “Star-Sucking Divine Art.” 28
- Zuixiang Eighteen Hands — A seductive secret martial art that Mu Ye later uses to kill Huang Li’s captors while trapped inside a Water Prison Talisman. 42 50
Role-Based Skills
