Finally Reunited, Many Days Later (Seeking Subscription)

Wu Tao walked along the streets of the Outer City.

He had walked this street more than once. Back when he lived in the Inner City, he often had to head into the wilderness to hunt Demonic Beasts and feed the Soul-Devouring Insects, so he frequently passed through the Outer City streets on his way out.

It still felt familiar, with no difference whatsoever from when Five Spring Mountain ruled this place.

Cultivators had far longer lifespans than ordinary people. Thus, things in the Cultivation World seemed unchanged even after centuries or millennia.

Wu Tao strode swiftly down the street. The people brushing past him were all Rogue Cultivators, mostly Early Qi Refining Rogue Cultivators, with the occasional Fourth Level of Qi Refining cultivator.

The Outer City was home to Rogue Cultivators of low cultivation. Those with higher cultivation, so long as they had even a little Spirit Stone on them, would move into the Inner City.

Though rent in the Inner City was expensive, there were more opportunities to make a living there. The workshops that processed beast hides, along with various other workshops, were basically all located in the Inner City.

"New Virtue Alley is only two streets away. Since I've returned to this former Five Spring Mountain Cultivation City, I might as well take a look at New Virtue Alley. Next time, I may never come back here again."

With that thought, Wu Tao quickened his pace. After turning through two streets, he entered New Virtue Alley.

The streets of New Virtue Alley were narrow and dim, with sunlight unable to reach inside. The houses on both sides stood pressed tightly together; open a window, and you could shake hands with your neighbor.

Of course, New Virtue Alley was not the only place with such a layout.
