Year 28 of Konoha.
In a two-story Japanese-style wooden courtyard, a young boy was swinging a wooden sword. He was about five years old, with tousled black hair, a fitted black samurai outfit, and wooden clogs on his feet. Though he was young, the wooden sword in his hands was not being swung wildly; every strike followed a distinct form and flowed with remarkable smoothness.
Sweeping, thrusting, intercepting, blocking, deflecting, slashing, guiding, and entangling—such basic moves came naturally to the young boy. His blade stirred a faint whistle through the air, while an indistinct killing intent radiated from him. He vaguely carried the bearing of a master swordsman.
Huff... The young boy let out a deep breath, put away his wooden sword, and sat on the steps, looking somewhat gloomy and sorrowful.
Just over ten days ago, his parents had died. More precisely, his adoptive parents had died, killed by people from Sunagakure. They had found him while returning to the village from a mission and taken him in. Though they were not his biological parents, they had treated him very well, as if he were their own son. Over the past three or four years, under their care, he had completely integrated into this world.
In truth, the young boy was not from this world. More accurately, his body belonged to this world, but his soul did not. His original name had been Qin Moxuan, the eldest legitimate son of the Qin Family on Earth.
The Qin Family was not some great clan. There were only six people in the household: his grandfather and grandmother, his parents, and the two brothers. Yet the Qin Family had been passed down for four or five hundred years. Most of their ancestors had served in the military and were skilled in battlefield combat and personal fighting techniques. They could be considered a martial arts family.
In modern times, both brothers had been geniuses. The younger son excelled in fist techniques, while the elder son excelled in saber techniques. Both had made quite a name for themselves in the martial arts world. The elder son in particular had been called a once-in-a-century saber genius. Before reaching the age of twenty, he had already become a saber master. The Blood Battle Breaking Army Saber Technique passed down through the family had reached the point where he surpassed his predecessors.
Unfortunately, Qin Moxuan had been born with a reckless personality. Perhaps it was youthful arrogance, perhaps his confidence had swelled too much, but he had actually gone alone to pursue a foreign assassin squad. After being ambushed, he fought to the death and perished. Still, the assassins had not fared much better. Nearly all of them had been wiped out, and the only survivor had been crippled.
Qin Moxuan had finally been reborn in the One Piece World. Through his own efforts and scheming, he had become a Great Swordmaster. His strength had been no weaker than Heavenly Yaksha among the Shichibukai, perhaps even slightly stronger. If he had continued cultivating, he might have reached the level of the Four Emperors, a Marine Admiral, or even the world's greatest swordsman.
However, Qin Moxuan had once again displayed his talent for courting death. Upon hearing that the First Generation Kitetsu, the strongest cursed blade, was in the hands of the Five Elders, he had actually infiltrated Mary Geoise in an attempt to steal it. Tragically, he had been discovered. Two fists could not beat four hands. Though he had slain many Marines and CP0 agents, his fate had already been sealed. He had lost everything, including his life.
This time, reborn in the Naruto World, Qin Moxuan had made up his mind. He would no longer court death. Well, at most, he would take a few minor risks that would not endanger his life. He had no idea whether he had accumulated some tremendous virtue in his past life to be reborn twice. But things would not happen a third time. Probably, perhaps, definitely, there would be no third chance.
As all sorts of thoughts flashed through his mind, Qin Moxuan—no, in this world, he should be called Beichen Haotian—stood up, pushed open the first-floor door, sat beside the low table, and began to eat.
More than ten days had passed, and most of his grief had faded. Yet whenever he thought of it, waves of pain still rose in his heart. He gathered his sorrow and suppressed it. After all, he was an adult. Having lived three lives, he was already over forty in spirit and could easily control his emotions.
The food was decent. Though his adoptive parents had merely been ordinary Civilian Chunin, they had accumulated some savings over the years of completing missions. Together with the compensation and orphan subsidy, it was enough for Beichen Haotian to live steadily until he was around fifteen. After quickly finishing his meal, he sat cross-legged on the floor, calmed his mind, and began refining Chakra.
Beichen Haotian was not someone with an extreme and twisted temperament. He was not like Uchiha Obito, who wanted to destroy the world after losing what he loved. However, he had to avenge his parents. The people who had killed them had to die! Born into an ancient martial arts family, he did not believe in repaying grievances with kindness. Kindness was repaid with kindness, and grievances with justice.
Revenge required strength. Ever since he had become aware of his surroundings and his body had grown a little stronger, Beichen Haotian had secretly trained himself. Though it was only basic training, his body was undoubtedly stronger than that of others his age. Naturally, that was excluding those with special physiques or children from great clans.
Due to his age and physique, Beichen Haotian had very little Chakra. At most, he could cast a Clone Technique. His parents, as Civilian Chunin, knew few techniques, and their quality was not high. At present, the only things Beichen Haotian could learn were the Three Basic Ninjutsu.
But that was fine. Beichen Haotian's main focus was not ninjutsu anyway; he had too little Chakra. He mainly devoted his energy to saber techniques, physical training, and Haki.
In his previous life, he had been a renowned Great Swordmaster in the One Piece World. Beichen Haotian was proficient in saber techniques, Observation Haki, Armament Haki, and Shave, Geppo, Iron Body, and Kami-e from the Six Powers. He had even initially awakened Conqueror's Haki. As for how he had learned the Six Powers? At the beginning, Beichen Haotian had joined the Marines and entered their intelligence organization.
The Six Powers required a strong body, and Beichen Haotian was still too young to meet those requirements. His saber techniques had been etched into his soul, and now that he was reclaiming them, his progress was incredibly rapid. After two years of training, his Haki had already reached the threshold of awakening. Observation Haki in particular was only one step away. With his past experience, as long as he did not slack off, Beichen Haotian would sooner or later regain the strength he had possessed at his peak among the Shichibukai, no weaker than a Kage-level expert.
That afternoon, Beichen Haotian continued following his plan: refining Chakra, practicing Hand Seals, cultivating saber techniques, training his body, and comprehending Haki. After dinner, he broke from routine and did not train. He went to sleep early because the Ninja Academy admissions were the next day.
The next morning, he rose early, went into the kitchen, stood on a stool, and made breakfast. He fried two eggs, then added bread and milk. It was a simple breakfast, but it was nutritious. Beichen Haotian would not be like Naruto, eating instant noodles every day while somehow remaining healthy. The Uzumaki Clan's constitution was not something ordinary people could compare to. He was at the age when he needed to grow, and with the mindset of an adult, Beichen Haotian would not mistreat himself.
After eating and washing the dishes, Beichen Haotian put on a small backpack, slung a wooden sword across his back, and headed alone to the Ninja Academy to register.
Along the way, many neighbors who knew Beichen Haotian greeted and teased him. Greetings were fine, but some uncles, aunties, and young women came over to pinch his cheeks, leaving him deeply depressed.
Still, he could not blame them. To be honest, when Beichen Haotian was little, he truly had been both handsome and adorable. Faced with the grasping hands along the road, he could not exactly resist. Since his adoptive parents had died, these neighbors had treated him very well, bringing him things, inviting him to meals, and often looking after him.
After struggling all the way, he finally escaped the neighbors' many grasping hands and reached a main street where no one knew him. Konoha truly deserved its status as the foremost of the Five Great Shinobi Villages. It was prosperous, with bustling streets, rows of shops, and a very pleasant atmosphere.
After crossing a street, Beichen Haotian finally arrived at the Konoha Ninja Academy. The entrance was packed with people. Countless young boys and girls, accompanied by their parents, were either registering or chatting.
He lined up, submitted his information, and took out money from his backpack. The Ninja Academy's tuition was not expensive; if it had been, there would have been no point.
After paying the tuition, Beichen Haotian waited outside the school. About half an hour later, registration was mostly complete, and he followed the crowd into the academy. Once inside, he looked around curiously and found that apart from some equipment for ninja training, it was not much different from schools on Earth.
They arrived beneath a raised platform and formed lines under the teachers' direction. Then, a man around thirty-seven or thirty-eight years old stepped onto the platform. He wore a white Hokage Robe and a conical hat embroidered with the character for fire. A kind smile rested on his face, and under the newborn sunlight, he looked especially benevolent and approachable.
So this is the Third Hokage? He's far younger than he was at the beginning of the original story, and his strength can't compare to what it was in his old age. At this time, the Third Hokage must be the Shinobi Hero who dominated the Ninja World. Haotian looked at the figure on the platform, sensed the terrifying power contained within that unremarkable body, and could not help thinking this.
Then the Third Hokage began to speak. At first, it was no different from a speech at an Earth school opening ceremony. Later, he began talking about the Will of Fire and repeated it twice.
As the village's Kage, there was almost no one in Konoha who did not respect him. Children admired him even more. The words spoken by the Third Hokage, their idol at this time, naturally left a deep impression on them.
After the speech came class assignments. Beichen Haotian was placed in Class One. There, he saw a familiar figure. Though still young, that golden hair and gentle smile, like winter sunlight, were unmistakable. That was Minato Namikaze.
After the classes were assigned, the teachers led them to their classrooms, arranged their seats, and had them introduce themselves. Finally, as they sat in their seats, their homeroom teacher gave them another talk on the Will of Fire. Though the content differed somewhat, its essence remained the same.
With such constant indoctrination, the Will of Fire would naturally take root in innocent, simple children with no independent opinions. Fortunately, Beichen Haotian was an adult with his own way of thinking. Otherwise, he too would have been influenced. Beichen Haotian would only act according to his own beliefs.
Once the speech ended, school was dismissed. Today was for registration; formal classes would begin tomorrow. With his wooden sword on his back, no one laughed at Beichen Haotian. In the ninja world, too many children dreamed of becoming ninja.
After enduring countless grasping hands on the way home, he continued cultivating according to his plan.
I wasn't satisfied with any Japanese names I found, so I had no choice but to use a name with a Chinese flavor. This is a new book, so please support it with favorites and recommendations. Thank you! Let me add that this story will not torment the protagonist; it will be fairly relaxed! Those who like it are welcome to stay and read. Those who do not, please leave quietly. Thank you. One more thing: as a beginner, I overlooked quotation marks in the early dialogue. That was my mistake! I still have over ninety chapters saved up, and my work hours are quite long, so revising everything at once takes a lot of time. I will correct it as soon as possible, so please bear with me, readers. Thank you. I will pay attention to quotation marks in newly added chapters.
I have now basically finished correcting the punctuation issues, though there may still be a few omissions. Please be understanding. Since this is my first book, it had such problems early on, but the later parts do not have those punctuation issues. This book is rather wish-fulfillment-oriented. It will probably only be updated for a little over another month and will not be very long. I have actually put most of my energy into my next book.
