Ordinary Chakra is created by combining physical energy and spiritual energy in an equal one-to-one ratio. The amount a ninja can produce is influenced by physique, spiritual strength, and sustained refinement. 2 57

• Young or physically undeveloped users possess limited Chakra and must rely more heavily on taijutsu, tools, and basic techniques. 1 2

Chakra Control

Precise control determines how efficiently Chakra is used and whether advanced techniques can be performed.

• Tree climbing — Chakra is maintained on the soles to adhere to a tree trunk. Excess output leaves footprints and wastes Chakra; insufficient output causes the user to fall. 4
• Water walking — Used alongside tree climbing as a basic but effective control exercise. 4
• Medical Ninjutsu and Monstrous Strength — Both demand exceptional precision, including routing Chakra through complex meridian networks in an exact sequence. 16

Lightning Release

Beichen Haotian discovers his Lightning Release affinity through the techniques left by his father. He channels blue electrical Chakra through his blade and later develops high-level Lightning Release techniques. 2 45

Water Release and Storm Release

Haotian studies Water and Lightning Nature Transformation together during his long-term cultivation, eventually creating Storm Release through their fusion. 69

• Water-based Chakra techniques are also used defensively and offensively in Haotian's clashes with Orochimaru. 53

Chakra Blade

A Chakra blade may incorporate both shape transformation and nature transformation. When strengthened by Blade Intent, Haotian's lightning blade is sharp enough to cut open Minato's incomplete Rasengan. 63

Chakra Sealing and Extraction

Adamantine Sealing Chains

Haotian uses Adamantine Sealing Chains, an Uzumaki sealing technique requiring enormous Chakra reserves, to bind the Six-Tails' Jinchūriki. 90

• The chains are pale gold, swift, and agile enough to restrain a Jinchūriki before they can release Tailed Beast Chakra. 90
• Haotian's version is stated to be weaker than Kushina Uzumaki's, but sufficient against the Six-Tails. 90

Tailed Beast Chakra Collection

Dao Seeking and Chakra

Haotian uses Dao Seeking as a vessel for the Chakra of the nine Tailed Beasts, with Hoshigakure's Star meteorite—containing Ten-Tails Chakra—as the catalyst. 64 93

• The Nine-Tails' Chakra and Star merge into a miniature Ten-Tails before Haotian seals it into Dao Seeking with Four Symbols, Eight Trigrams, and Five Elements seals. 93

Relationship to Natural Energy

Haotian considers Chakra a power originating from the God Tree and Ten-Tails rather than a power that truly belongs to humanity. His ultimate objective is to command Natural Energy freely and become independent of Chakra, Sage Chakra, ninjutsu, dōjutsu, and fuinjutsu. 63 68 166

• He can replenish Sage Chakra rapidly by drawing in surrounding Natural Energy, without relying on Shadow Clones for preparation. 86
