Changes (Part 1)

"Kei, you're here."

When Uchiha Kei arrived at a meeting room in the Hokage Building, Namikaze Minato greeted him with a smile.

Quite a few ninja had already gathered in the meeting room. A small portion were Chunin, while the majority were Jonin.

Setting aside Jonin at the ministerial level, as well as figures like clan heads, the remaining Jonin were clearly those without students.

To some extent, this meeting could be seen as a division of spoils—they had all come here to fight over students.

"Lord Hokage."

Uchiha Kei smiled faintly and nodded, then walked straight over to sit beside Hyuga Aya.

Kakashi and Imai Kenta were beside her as well. Clearly, they had saved him a seat.

However, Uchiha Kei seemed to notice that Kakashi was in rather low spirits. His one exposed eye was currently wearing a dead-fish stare.

That made Uchiha Kei think of something. Could this unlucky guy really be going to take on students?

Shaking his head, Uchiha Kei could not be bothered to think about it.

This guy taking on students—especially Naruto, Sasuke, and their class—was actually the best choice!

He was Namikaze Minato's disciple, while Naruto was Minato's son. With that connection, the two were naturally close.

On top of that, they had known each other since childhood, and their relationship had always seemed fairly good.

And although Sasuke was from the Uchiha Clan, Kakashi's relationship with Uchiha Kei was no joke. Moreover, he was Uchiha Itachi's teacher.

Before this, Kakashi and Obito had also been close friends. Obito had even given him a Sharingan before his "death."

After so many years, Kakashi had already developed the abilities of that eye to a fairly impressive degree.
