Perfect Cell Revives!

The heavens changed strangely. Dark clouds gathered, and fierce winds howled.

The bright sunlight was blocked, and the land grew dark.

Goku watched solemnly as a figure suddenly appeared beside him.

It was Jiang Ling, who had sensed the unusual aura of the battle and used Instant Transmission to get here.

Goku's fight with Cell had been over quickly. Jiang Ling had only just sensed it and teleported over when the battle ended.

"Goku, what happened?" Jiang Ling asked, his expression grave.

He thought of someone.

He'd assumed that guy wouldn't show up, but he hadn't expected...

Goku was a little surprised to see him.

But he didn't think much of it.

"Just now, a monster named Cell came here to target my family. I killed him, and then this strange phenomenon appeared..."

Goku explained what had happened.

"So it really was Cell..."

Jiang Ling mused.

Perhaps Future Cell had already been here when Jiang Ling first crossed over, and so wasn't affected by him.

Just then, a wildly arrogant laugh rang out.

Cell, who had just been killed, appeared in the sky.

His form had even changed into Perfect Form!

He was impossibly handsome, though still a little less so than Jiang Ling.

"Perfect Cell? Heh."

Jiang Ling smiled and shook his head. With his current strength, he had absolute confidence.

Just as he was about to step forward and fight, Goku stopped him.

Staring straight into Jiang Ling's eyes, he said solemnly,

"Jiang Ling, if I hadn't woken up just now, Cell would've killed Chi-Chi and Gohan. So don't step in. Let me handle this!"

At that, Jiang Ling nodded, understanding what Goku had in mind.

Putting himself in Goku's shoes, if anyone dared hurt Bulma, he'd personally make them suffer a thousand cuts!

"But... Goku, I don't think your current strength is enough to take on Perfect Cell... unless..."

Before he could finish, Goku caught on.

"Unless I reach Super Saiyan beyond Super Saiyan, right?"

"Exactly! Hm?" Jiang Ling looked at him in surprise. "If you know about Super Saiyan 2, that means you've already mastered it!"

Goku nodded.

He really had mastered it.

That was why he was so confident.

"Jiang Ling, you've mastered it too, haven't you? And you can use Instant Transmission."

"That's right. Goku, when did you get so smart?"

"Cell, you talk more than my two wives combined."

Caught off guard, Cell was hurled into a mountain by the tremendous force.

The mountain crumbled, and rocks burst apart and collapsed!

Cell was buried deep underground.

Not far away, Jiang Ling leisurely took out some barbecue equipment from System Space.

As he drank beer, he thought about hunting a dinosaur to grill later.

Dinosaurs were everywhere, and they weren't protected animals, so he could eat as many as he liked.

Come to think of it, he was starting to miss the dinosaur meatballs Chi-Chi made. Bouncy and silky, hand-pounded, they tasted incredible.

Goku watched Jiang Ling leisurely sipping beer and felt a little speechless.

But he didn't let his guard down for a second.

He knew Cell wouldn't die so easily!

Suddenly, an energy surge rose from where Cell had fallen.

Goku's eyes narrowed. He brought his hands to his waist, palms cupped like a flower bud, and spoke in a low voice.

"Ka! Me! Ha! Me! Ha!"

A blue-white Kikoha gathered in Goku's hands.

The next moment,

the rubble covering Cell exploded, and a figure stood within it, completely unharmed!

He took the same stance as Goku, a dazzling blue-white Kikoha glowing in his hands.

"Ka! Me! Ha! Me! Ha!"

Boom!!!

The two Kikoha blasts shot out, tracing graceful arcs through the air before colliding!

A vast wave of energy spread outward from them.

Trees snapped in half, and boulders shattered.

Huge cracks appeared in the ground.

But when the invisible shockwave reached Jiang Ling, he waved a hand, and it vanished without a trace.

Cell, on the other hand, remained where he was, completely unaffected.

Cell flew into a rage.

His aura burst forth.

"So you won't take the easy way out!"

"I'm going to get serious!"

"Let me tell you—"

Listening to Cell's endless prattle, Goku was suddenly reminded of Chi-Chi's nagging. He couldn't hit his wife, but he could hit an enemy, couldn't he?

And the monster in front of him had nearly killed Chi-Chi!

At the thought, Goku's blazing anger roared to life, as if someone had poured gasoline on it!

"Chi-Chi!"

(Gohan: So nobody cares about me?)

"Since I can't beat you with my current strength, I'll let you feel the power of Super Saiyan beyond Super Saiyan!"

"I call it Super Saiyan 2!"

Goku gathered his strength and arched his body slightly. Golden Aura surged endlessly from within him!

"AAAAAAAH!!"

Boom!!!!

Golden Aura shot into the sky, blazing fiercely.

His golden hair, already standing slightly on end, shot straight upward!

Goku's face was now cold and impassive.

Tiny bolts of lightning crackled around him. Bathed in golden Aura, he radiated an overwhelming presence!

"You should've gone Super Saiyan 2 ages ago. You dragged it out..." Jiang Ling muttered.

Jiang Ling had a good idea why Goku could transform into Super Saiyan 2 at a time like this.

He'd probably entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber early, that was all.

Cell's eyes widened as he felt Goku's immense aura. He shouted in disbelief, "Impossible!!"

While he was still blathering, Goku flashed right in front of him.

Even Cell, now in Perfect Form, couldn't react to that speed!

Goku formed a blade of ki in his hand and plunged it straight into Cell's heart!
