"Huh? Where are your teeth?"
The tall, handsome man's image suddenly took a sharp turn, leaving the lovestruck Chichi dumbfounded.
"He's pretty handsome, but he acts like an idiot!"
Chichi muttered under her breath. She was still young, and the thought slipped out before she could stop it.
"! How can you be so rude?"
Puar bristled. Young Master Yamcha was perfect in his eyes, and he wouldn't let anyone insult him.
"Ah. I'm really sorry about that. You two go ahead—we won't bother you any longer!"
Yamcha was afraid he'd lose his temper and punch Chichi again if he stayed, so he hurriedly grabbed Puar and took off in a flash.
Before long, after circling around and threatening everyone nearby, Son Goku finally arrived on his Flying Nimbus.
"Hey, are you Chichi?"
"Huh? You know my name too. Is it because you like me?"
Looking at the strange boy standing on a cloud, Chichi asked her famous question.
"Mr. Ox King told me to come find you. I'm going to Master Mutaito's house now. Do you want to come with me?"
"Can something that looks like cotton candy really fly?"
Chichi curiously walked around the cloud.
"Yep! Hurry and hop on!"
Son Goku laughed.
"Okay."
Chichi tried hard to climb onto the cloud, but she was so short that she kept falling just short.
Looking at the boy's swishing tail, Chichi reached out with her wicked little hand.
"Ah!"
Feeling someone suddenly grab his tail, Son Goku let out a startled cry.
Years of training meant that having his tail grabbed no longer made him lose all his strength, but even now, it was still the most sensitive part of his body.
The grab was like an electric shock, sending shivers through him.
"Hey, could you not grab my tail? It feels weird."
Son Goku grumbled in displeasure.
Looking at the cool little boy in front of her, Chichi felt her heart start racing again.
"Sit tight! We're taking off!"
With another cheer, the Flying Nimbus shot into the sky and sped toward the sea.
"Smack! Smack!"
"Ah! What are you doing?!"
As they sped along on the Flying Nimbus, Son Goku suddenly stuck out his foot on a whim and lightly patted Chichi's lower abdomen.
"Huh? Are you a girl too?"
Son Goku asked excitedly.
He'd been out for many days now and had learned to tell boys and girls apart.
He was so clever that all he needed to do was give someone a little pat to figure it out.
"You pervert!"
Enraged and embarrassed, Chichi punched Son Goku and sent him flying.
Son Goku flailed around, trying to control himself, but to no avail. He plummeted straight to the ground.
"Ow!"
Son Goku landed with a thud, his head spinning. He clutched it and cried out in pain.
"Hey, how could you do that? That was really mean!"
"Then why did you pat me there? You're such a creep!"
Thinking about what Son Goku had just done, Chichi couldn't help blushing.
"I guess I have no choice. I'll just have to marry him someday!"
Once they were on their way again, the Flying Nimbus streaked across the sky as Chichi drifted off into her own fantasy world.
"Hey, is anyone home?"
After making their way through one obstacle after another, Son Goku and Chichi finally reached Kame Island.
"Oh, it's you!"
Old Turtle was enjoying the sea breeze when he saw the two of them jump down from the cloud.
"Is Master Mutaito home?"
Son Goku politely greeted Old Turtle, then explained why he'd come.
"So that's it! You're Little Ox's daughter!"
"It's been many years since we last saw each other!"
Looking at Chichi, Old Turtle couldn't help reminiscing about the old days.
Back then, Son Gohan and the Ox King had both been just children, training under Master Roshi.
But so many years had passed, and everything had changed.
"You're here!"
Just then, Master Roshi walked out of the house next door.
"Hello. Are you Master Mutaito? My father sent me to borrow the Banana Fan!"
Chichi wasn't entirely convinced that the old man in front of her was the God of Martial Arts her father had told her about.
But there was no one else around, so she tentatively asked.
"Oh, young lady, you mean the Banana Fan?"
"Afraid I'm out of luck. It got burned up while I was barbecuing once."
Master Roshi scratched his bald head as he explained.
"But, but what am I supposed to do if my house is going to burn down?"
As soon as she heard that the Banana Fan was gone, Chichi dropped to her knees and burst into tears.
Just then, Son Goku quietly told Master Roshi why he'd come.
"Oh, dear. Don't cry, young lady. Leave this to me."
Master Roshi thought it over, then gave his instructions.
"Let's set off right now and help Little Ox take care of the problem at his place as soon as possible."
"Hey, Old Turtle, I'll leave the rest to you."
"No problem!"
After Old Turtle answered, Master Roshi walked over, grabbed him, and held him out in front.
Old Turtle drew in his head and limbs, and Master Roshi tossed him into the sky.
Then Master Roshi lightly tapped his cane and stepped onto Old Turtle's shell.
"What a cool move!"
Son Goku reached out toward the sky.
"Chichi, let's go too!"
Son Goku cheered and chased after them...
At the foot of Fried Bread Mountain.
The air was scorching. Son Gohan and Bulma had both ducked into the Capsule House, while Ribut had temporarily been sent outside by Son Gohan.
The two of them were enjoying some rare time alone together.
"Gohan, do you think the fire on the mountain can really be put out? The whole mountain's ablaze!"
She couldn't imagine how they were supposed to extinguish it.
"If it keeps burning, how long will it take us to get the Dragon Ball? And how will my Prince Charming ever show up?"
But the moment she pictured her Prince Charming, she didn't know why, but Son Gohan's face appeared in her mind.
"How could this be? How could I like a little kid?"
She shook her head, as if trying to shake Son Gohan out of her thoughts.
But his image seemed to have taken root in her heart, slowly starting to sprout.
She glanced at Son Gohan beside her. Even with how lovestruck she was, she couldn't help muttering, "He's already so handsome at this age. He'll have girls falling all over him when he grows up. Hmph!"
Maybe even she hadn't realized the little thoughts in her heart as she thought about all this. o(´^`)o
Son Gohan watched her face turn red, then pale, over and over. He couldn't help grumbling to himself.
"You really can't guess what a girl going through puberty is thinking!"
"Just look at her. Her thoughts change eight hundred times a second!"
"All right, don't worry too much. Master Mutaito can put out the fire. We should trust him."
"He may seem a little shady, but he won't let us down when it comes to serious business!"
