"Huh?"
Son Goku felt quite disappointed when he saw Ji Yun's actions.
His heart was set on fighting. For someone as powerful as Ji Yun, if he couldn't spar with him, he felt he wouldn't be worthy of the title of a martial arts fanatic.
"My name is Ji Yun. If you're looking for training, I can't take you along, but if you want to trade blows, I can spar a few rounds with you!" Ji Yun smiled confidently.
He himself was very fond of the character Son Goku.
He was kind-natured, and although he was somewhat neglectful of his family, he understood the greater good very clearly.
Even if it were a former enemy, as long as they turned over a new leaf and possessed enough strength, he was capable of infinite tolerance toward them.
"Really!?"
Son Goku asked in surprise, finding it hard to believe.
Although he was already married, his desire to become stronger hadn't changed in the slightest.
Ji Yun nodded noncommittally.
He looked at Son Goku with a smile.
"Alright, then I—"
Hiss. Son Goku seemed quite excited.
After putting down Son Gohan, he wanted to ask for a few pointers, but the pain in his body simply wouldn't allow for much movement.
"Heh, let's wait until your injuries have recovered before we talk about that!" Ji Yun shook his head and smiled calmly.
He understood Son Goku; as long as he could cross paths with a master, he would be willing to pay any price.
However, since he was currently injured, he would likely have to wait a few days before he could fight.
"Hehe." Son Goku scratched the back of his head and laughed awkwardly. At the same time, he turned to King Piccolo beside him and asked, "King Piccolo, do you want to join in? I know you definitely aren't satisfied with this either!"
"Hmph!"
King Piccolo let out a haughty snort.
He was still quite arrogant. The once invincible King Piccolo had teamed up with Son Goku and still failed to take down Raditz.
This had dealt a heavy blow to his pride, and now that an even stronger person had appeared, it was even harder for him to accept.
"Ji Yun? Fine, I'll remember you! Even though you're strong, one day, I will defeat you myself. Farewell!"
Piccolo didn't waste any words; his pride had already taken a severe blow today.
He simply threw out a harsh parting remark, wrapped himself in a pale white aura, and flew off toward the horizon.
Ji Yun shook his head helplessly.
He already possessed the bloodline of the Legendary Super Saiyan. Never mind a mere Piccolo, even the protagonist of this world, Goku, would find it extremely difficult to catch up to him.
"Haha, Ji Yun, don't mind him. Piccolo is just that kind of person, but his nature isn't bad!"
Goku watched as Piccolo departed and explained with a silly grin.
Previously, the two of them could have been called mortal enemies.
But after this battle, their relationship had clearly grown much closer! He was actually covering for Piccolo.
In the deep reaches of space, on an unknown planet.
Vegeta and Nappa sat around a campfire, tearing into chunks of meat they held in their hands.
"Raditz is dead. Killed in one blow," Nappa said to Vegeta beside him.
There was no change in his expression at the death of his comrade; it was as if he were merely mentioning a trivial matter.
"Hmph, trash is trash. I didn't expect there to be someone on that garbage planet capable of killing Raditz," Vegeta said coldly.
He didn't care about Raditz's life or death either. If you aren't as skilled as your opponent, you die—that's all there is to it.
Let alone him, even Nappa beside him could easily kill Raditz in seconds.
"True, Raditz was only a low-level warrior. What does his life or death have to do with us?" Nappa took a bite of meat, his expression indifferent.
"Heh, that may be so, but according to the information Raditz sent back, that planet called Earth seems quite habitable. If we can take it, we might be able to sell it for a good price!"
Vegeta tossed aside the bone in his hand, his mouth curling into a faint, cold smile.
"We have nothing better to do anyway, so let's head over and take a look, and while we're at it, have some fun with this guy named Ji Yun!" Nappa finished his meat and looked at Vegeta with a sinister grin.
Vegeta nodded slightly, narrowing his eyes as he gazed into space toward the direction of Earth.
He was the proud Prince of the Saiyans, a genius among geniuses; even the galactic tyrant Frieza did not catch his eye.
However, the fact that someone on a low-level planet could kill Raditz, who was also a Saiyan, had piqued his curiosity. He wanted to see just what kind of person this was.
Due to Ji Yun's intervention, the two did not learn about the Dragon Balls, but the plot continued to progress along its original trajectory.
Just like that, the two did not stay on this planet any longer.
He climbed directly into the small spacecraft, set the coordinates, and flew toward Earth.
On Earth.
After dealing with Raditz, Ji Yun and Goku were chatting and laughing.
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out in Ji Yun's mind once again.
"Ding! Saiyans Vegeta and Nappa have been detected and will invade Earth in one year. Please make a choice, Host!"
"Option 1: Avoid the conflict, stay out of it, and keep a low profile; Reward: Spirit Bomb skill!"
"Option 2: Kill Nappa, Vegeta, and the guardian of Earth; Reward: Controllable Great Ape Transformation!"
"Option 3: Defeat Vegeta and let him leave, respecting the original plot; Reward: 10x Kaio-ken (side-effect-free version)!"
Ji Yun was slightly stunned. His appearance had already influenced the plot, yet he hadn't expected Vegeta and Nappa to come to Earth regardless.
He pondered for a moment, then silently recited in his heart: "I choose three!"
"Host has successfully made a choice: Defeat Vegeta and let him leave."
"Upon completion of the mission, the system will automatically distribute the reward. Please be sure to check it!" After he finished his selection, the system's prompt sounded once more.
His reasoning was simple. Spirit Bomb? Could that thing actually kill anyone? The charge time was too long, and it required the help of others; it wasn't practical at all.
As for the controllable Great Ape Transformation, it was certainly useful, but the appearance was rather ugly. He was a man who paid great attention to his external image, so he passed on that as well!
The final option, the 10x Kaio-ken—and a side-effect-free version at that—was practically tailor-made for him. He chose option three without hesitation.
The only downside was that the mission would be difficult to execute.
Not only did he have to defeat Vegeta, but he also had to let him go. That was a technical challenge; if he didn't control his strength properly, then...
Thinking of this, Ji Yun smiled helplessly.
"Ji Yun! Ji Yun!" Goku, watching Ji Yun stand there with a silly grin, kept shaking his shoulders.
"Huh?" Ji Yun snapped back to reality.
He had been so immersed in his own world that he had completely forgotten there was someone else beside him.
"My friend is here!" Goku pointed toward a massive aircraft in the sky.
Ji Yun looked in the direction he was pointing.
Before long, the giant aircraft slowly landed nearby.
"Goku! Goku!" A hurried voice called out.
A shiny, bald head came sprinting toward them.
"Krillin, I'm over here."
Goku, holding his son, waved his hand toward Krillin.
