Background / History

Kunto was dispatched by the Adeptus Mechanicus to the Kondax system as a xenos expert, where he researched methods of limiting Ork reproduction. The outbreak of the Horus Heresy disrupted this work and left Mars itself embroiled in civil war. The White Scars' Falcon Brotherhood was assigned to escort him to Mars, though even Ogedei did not know the precise purpose of Kunto's journey. 24

A gene-smith of considerable strategic value, Kunto is described as more valuable than the entire frigate's crew combined. After Fu Qinghai survives combat against a Helbrute on Roswell VII, Kunto treats his injuries and confirms the recovery of his secondary heart and additional lungs.
