David chose Lord Ferdinand's corpse. Lord Ferdinand had been the first lord David had ever seen in person, and he decided to resurrect him.

Worried that the trace of vitality within Lord Ferdinand's corpse would be immediately corroded by the poison once it left the spatial Pendant, David activated the Plague Pattern with his mind and absorbed the poison from Lord Ferdinand's corpse while it was still inside the spatial Pendant.

The process was extremely easy. Within the small world, the Plague Pattern was like the master of the poison. With just a slight pull, the poison on Lord Ferdinand's corpse automatically left the body and entered the Plague Pattern.

Because the Plague Pattern had absorbed the poison within the small world, David always felt that if he truly unleashed Plague, that mass-destruction ability, the damage it caused would likely far exceed his previous estimates.

The next time the Plague Pattern was unleashed, it would release all the poison stored within it at once. Combined with the poison the Plague Pattern itself could generate, its power was unimaginable.

Naturally, David did not want to see such power, because it would mean personally killing every living thing in an entire city, perhaps even over a far wider area.
