Shrek Academy originally operates from a dilapidated village outside Suotuo City. Its entrance consists of a wooden archway, a tattered plaque, and a green Shrek-monster emblem; registration is conducted at a table near the village entrance. Tang San and Xiao Wu initially mistake the location for a scam because of its condition. 60 61

Despite its impoverished campus, the academy brands itself as a school exclusively for “monsters,” using exceptional admission and graduation standards to select students with high potential. 62 63

The academy later seeks to merge into Heaven Dou Royal Academy through alumnus Qin Ming, chiefly so its students can enter the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. After conflict with Prince Xue Xing and Dugu Bo, Flender withdraws the academy instead, choosing Liu Erlong’s Lanba Academy. Liu Erlong offers Flender the deanship and permits Lanba Academy to be renamed Shrek Academy. 84 98 106 107 108

By the time factions search its original Suotuo City grounds for Xiao Wu, the old Shrek Academy campus has been abandoned. Qian Daoliu later likewise finds the former campus deserted and learns from local villagers that the academy relocated to Heaven Dou Imperial City. 158 477

After the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect is destroyed, Ning Rongrong brings Flender, Liu Erlong, and Yu Xiaogang to Qingdi Sect to seek refuge. Tang Chuan accepts Ning Rongrong and Oscar but rejects the other Shrek-associated arrivals; Flender, Liu Erlong, Yu Xiaogang, and Dai Mubai subsequently leave Qingdi Sect. 283 284

In the later altered present, Flender remains at the former Lanba/Blue Tyrant Academy campus because its facilities are those he had long wanted for Shrek Academy. Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ma Hongjun are described as the remaining Shrek students who have not left. 474

A Peerless Tang Sect-era comparison future depicts the academy enduring for more than ten thousand years and rising beyond the declining Tang Sect to become the continent’s number one academy. During the war that followed the collision of the Sun Moon and Douluo Continents, a contemporary Shrek headmaster assembled nearly sixty Titled Douluo, commanded the united armies of the three empires, and defeated the Sun Moon Empire, forcing it to cede territory and pay reparations. 546

In that future, Shrek Academy returns to its former Suotuo City region, where the expanding settlement around it develops into Shrek City. In the Peerless Tang Sect era, students are also subject to an ongoing elimination system after enrollment. Future applicants must pass the Martial Soul Academy’s freshman assessment before they can qualify for the Soul Guidance branch. 547 548

Critics particularly condemn the requirement that students hunt their fourth soul ring alone, arguing that it exposes already rare talents to unnecessary danger. Dugu Bo and Shui Bing’er characterize the academy as having standards and faculty that do not match its facilities or educational capability. 62 64

Flender’s running assignments for Oscar and Ning Rongrong, the academy’s simple food, and its “cause trouble” motto further damage its public image. Yu Xiaogang explicitly objects to the students’ nutrition and assumes responsibility for improving it after Flender states that the academy is poor. 65 66 67

A comparison-video future nevertheless depicts Shrek Academy attaining unprecedented prestige after Tang San becomes the Sea God and Spirit Hall falls. In that future, the academy expands enrollment severalfold in only a few months as commoner talents and youths from smaller clans seek to become the next Shrek Seven Devils, making it one of the continent’s most prominent academies alongside the Tang Sect. The Peerless Tang Sect-era comparison future further identifies Shrek as the continent’s number one academy and an independent power whose city-state is comparable to Spirit Hall. Its historical leadership during the Sun Moon Empire war is presented as a principal source of this prestige. 546 547

However, the academy’s future reputation is again challenged by its exclusionary recommendation-letter requirement, harsh elimination system, and Zhou Yi’s teaching practices. Uniforms
