Someone Lost Control
Lynch originally wanted to find more extraordinary items in the underground trading market, but after searching around, he only found one extraordinary weapon, which cost him eight hundred pounds.
Why don't you just rob it?
Klein bought the axe in Backlund for less than 500 pounds; did they think he didn't know its value for 800 pounds?
Lynch promptly refused.
It seems that truly exceptional items aren't so easy to buy; we'll have to wait a little longer.
He doesn't necessarily need to obtain extraordinary items right now; he has enough for himself, and he's not short of money at the moment, so he's not in a hurry to find them.
So he casually left the vendor's side and went to the door to wait for Klein to come out.
He had barely stood there when Swain appeared in front of him.
"I've seen you before, one of Old Neil's men. Mandated Punishers has gone out of control. Help me out!"
Lynch's lips twitched.
The original book does mention this event, but it doesn't specify the time. Plus, Old Neil was imprisoned, so he didn't pay much attention to it. But now, he ran into him while out with Klein.
Klein is definitely the protagonist; he triggers plot developments wherever he goes.
Wait, isn't this Klein's storyline?
Why only contact him?
Lynch looked around, then pointed at Klein who was walking towards them and shouted, "Grab him too, he can help!"
Klein was startled; he thought his ability to erase the contents of the Antigonus Notebook had been discovered.
He only breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Lynch offer to help, and couldn't help but roll his eyes.
If you're going to help, then help. Why act like he's wanted by the police?
"I'm sorry, someone lost control, and I was worried he might harm the ordinary people here, so I used a bit strong language."
As Swain, Lynch pretended to feel guilty, but actually almost burst out laughing.
Klein wanted to say he was really scared, but he felt it was because he was guilty and couldn't blame Lynch, so he could only grit his teeth and say he was fine.
"Alright, that's it, you two supports!"
Swain pointed to the dock area, where two Mandated Punishers were negotiating.
Ah, the threat of fear, the crimson hope!
At least one thing is true: this life is fleeting!
One thing is true, the rest are lies.
After blooming once, the flower will depart from this world...
Lynch found a spot and started reciting poetry, shamelessly ignoring Klein's almost-laughing expression.
What's wrong?
So what if he looks a bit like Leonard?
Poet are all the same!
The out-of-control individuals slowed down, momentarily halting the movement of those who had forced back Swain and others. Taking advantage of this moment, Lynch and the others gripped their revolvers tightly.
Bang!
The bullet pierced the out-of-control person's already scaly skull.
"Sleep!"
Lynch and Klein simultaneously cast Slumber Charm, and the out-of-control person collapsed to the ground, falling completely silent.
He is a very good colleague.
Swain took a sip of his drink and walked over, speaking as if it were nothing more than a casual remark.
Lynch didn't respond; he knew it was Swain's time to remember him.
This time didn't last long. Swain turned to look at Lynch and said in a relatively light tone:
"You resemble your captain and that green-eyed Poet next to him, especially the tone of your voice when reciting poetry. By the way, have you produced any masterpieces yet?"
Lynch:...
Is that polite?
He at least helped out, so why betray him like this?
Before he could get angry, Swain said again, "Poet should do what Poet should do, don't you think?"
Lynch was stunned for a moment before he realized that the former Mandated Punishers was reminding him of the Acting Method, perhaps indicating when he had obtained it and using it as a reward to remind him.
Thank you.
Lynch said softly.
They swore an oath before the Goddess, Mandated Punishers should have sworn an oath before the Lord of Storms as well, but even so, he should be reminded that the Old Man man is not a bad person.
Although he already knew.
"Little guy, how did you Pathway?"
Swain then looked at Klein.
Klein quickly waved his hand, "I already know the Acting Method."
Swain paused for a moment, then picked up the flask and took a big gulp, saying with a hint of regret, "I really envy you guys. I found out too late; I was already retired by then."
If he had known earlier, perhaps he wouldn't have witnessed so many teammates lose control because they hadn't mastered the Acting Method.
"You guys go back! I'm going to drink a lot today!"
Swain said nothing more, picked up the flask and gulped down the liquor, staggering towards the bar.
"Even the Beyonder will have their day."
The Mandated Punishers team member walked over, sighed, sincerely thanked Lynch and Klein, and then hurried off to move the body.
"Well!"
Lynch sighed. He had originally wanted to ask Klein what he had bought, but now he didn't want to.
But after sitting in the carriage for a while, his curiosity was piqued again, so he looked earnestly at Klein and asked, "How much money do you have left?"
"I still have fifty pounds left. I didn't find what I needed, so I bought some incantation materials instead."
Klein chuckled and returned the fifty pounds to the gentleman who kept bringing it up.
He actually had his eye on quite a few things, but he couldn't afford any of them. Fifty pounds could only buy some low-level materials; forget about the main ingredients for Potion.
"Then if you see something you like next time, you can ask me to borrow it."
Lynch immediately took the money and happily stuffed it into his wallet.
Klein watched from the side, seemingly wanting to say something but holding back.
So why are these two, one a demon god and the other a member of that demon god, so stingy?
However, fifty pounds was indeed too little. He had to keep an eye on Lynch. If the guy finally decided to use the money Miss Justice had given him, he would borrow it; that money was the real prize.
I really hope this gentleman won't be so shocked when he hears that he's borrowing such a large sum of money that he'll sit on the ground.
Klein couldn't help but laugh out loud at the thought of the scene, and then he was grabbed by Lynch.
"You're laughing so happily, you must be free of financial pressure, so I paid for the carriage ride there, and I think it's your turn to pay for the return trip!"
Lynch spoke with such conviction that Klein couldn't refute him and could only helplessly take out the money, muttering to himself about how stingy Lynch was.
Even someone as wealthy as him needs to pay for his friend's carriage!
They should really charge Lynch a commission on Sefirah Castle, just half of it, then he'd be rich instantly!
Klein fantasized about his life after he became rich, imagining himself eating out every day and throwing away every single dish. However, after seeing the food sold in the roadside shops, he tightened his purse strings.
Just kidding, it's cheaper to make it yourself.
He really wouldn't dare charge half the agency fee.
Although he was the Fool, he was also afraid that the members would come offline to challenge him to a duel. Then they would find out that Mr. Fool was just a Sequence 9 who had just digested Potion, and he would definitely die here.
