Miss Elizabeth
Lynch was lectured for a while in Mr. Azik's office, then ate lunch delivered by Mr. Azik's maid, before finally preparing to go home with a satisfied look on his face.
However, as soon as he said goodbye to Mr. Azik and opened his office door, he saw a pretty figure outside.
He mistook it for Megose and quickly moved aside.
But no, it was another Miss Elizabeth he had met before.
She also showed a surprised expression when she saw Lynch there.
Are you here on business?
She asked curiously.
Lynch nodded. He came over to ask for some extraordinary items, to ask Mr. Azik for a favor, and even got a free meal—could that be considered doing a favor?
"Have you finished taking care of it? Do you need me to put in a good word for you with Mr. Azik?"
Elizabeth asked kindly.
She had a very good impression of Lynch; he risked his life to save her dog, Doggo, and carried him the whole way. This gentleman was clearly someone who, like her, loved dogs.
"It's all taken care of, thank you for your kindness."
Lynch's tone was sincere.
This lady gave him a 100-pound tip!
All you need is a dog.
"Okay, you've found Doggo. I've been thinking about how to repay you!"
Elizabeth said in a light tone.
Lynch waved his hand.
He accepted a tip of one hundred pounds, which was his way of repaying the favor.
"Doggo is to me a value that money can't buy, so if you need anything, I'll do my best to help."
Miss Elizabeth said again.
Lynch was both amused and exasperated. It wasn't that bad. Although he had started to take advantage of others after transmigrating, he wasn't this demanding.
"It's not that bad, it really isn't. I'm leaving!"
He quickly waved to Miss Elizabeth, and then, without waiting for her reply, hurried away.
After he left, Miss Elizabeth entered Mr. Azik's office and sat down opposite him with a familiar air, her voice clear and crisp:
"Uncle Azik, I need your help with something. My dad says you always know a lot about those weird and wonderful things!"
Mr. Azik looked at his friend's daughter with curiosity; her aura was tinged with a dark, gloomy green.
This is a sign of being possessed by a ghost or vengeful spirit.
Considering that the other party had been to the Ramud Town, Mr. Azik sighed.
That place was where one of his descendants was buried after his death.
Ince Zangwill took the child's Beyonder Characteristic. That was the result of their deal.
He asked for Lynch's safety, Beyonder Characteristic were granted.
He went to see him once, and it brought back many memories, but all those memories were in the past. Nothing could compare to Lynch, a living child.
This is actually quite simple; he can handle it, but...
He thought of Lynch; that kid seemed to have been talking to the girl for quite a while earlier, maybe there was something going on.
So he cleared his throat and told Elizabeth Lynch's work address.
"Fate has told me that you will resolve your problems there."
Elizabeth paused for a moment, then nodded. Mr. Azik hadn't said anything wrong; he was always very knowledgeable about the occult.
Ever since she returned from her trip, she's been having nightmares and desperately hopes someone can help her resolve this issue.
"I will go, I believe in you!"
She lifted her skirt to bow, then said goodbye and left the office.
Sunday morning.
As soon as Lynch arrived at the security company, he saw Miss Elizabeth sitting in the reception room talking to Rozanne.
"Oh, you work here?"
Elizabeth had clearly seen Lynch as well, and she asked him in a warm tone.
When she first looked for Doggo, it was the housekeeper who came here; she didn't come herself, so she didn't know that Lynch worked here. This gave her a lot of confidence in this security company.
"Yes, do you need to see Doggo again?"
Lynch gripped his Walking Stick tightly, preparing to adapt another Pathway he hadn't yet imitated into that of Seer.
But Miss Elizabeth shook her head.
"No, Doggo is still Sun at home! I came here for something else. Mr. Azik recommended me here, saying I'd be pleasantly surprised!"
Her candor displeased Rozanne, who was standing next to her.
She pouted, seemed to mutter something, and her tone became somewhat unpleasant.
"Alright, alright! Let's get down to business!"
Rozanne shouted loudly.
She repeated Elizabeth's request.
This young woman has been having nightmares every night since returning from her vacation in the Ramud Town, and she wants to find a solution.
Lynch remembered that Klein had received this lady in the original story, but that was at the Divination Club.
He thought he would never meet her, and he never considered the two Miss Elizabeth to be the same person.
After all, it's quite common for women to be named Elizabeth.
He can't possibly see a Miss Elizabeth and immediately think of that young lady who didn't appear much in the original story.
"I can give it a try. You sign the agreement with Rozanne, and I'll go make some preparations first."
Lynch said it was no problem, he should be able to handle it.
As for the solution...
Lynch rushed down to the small office next to the Chanis Gate.
"Captain, a friend asked me to do a quest, but I used the Slumber Charm on her last time, and you haven't signed off on the expense yet. So, could you help me pull her and me into a dream to see what's going on?"
Lynch spoke with an innocent expression, but Dunn sighed, clearly understanding his coded message.
Reimbursement! Reimbursement!
This kid has really been corrupted by Old Neil. He used to be such a good kid!
After receiving the reimbursement slip from Dunn, Lynch entered the lounge.
Elizabeth was already asleep, lying face down, clearly thanks to Dunn.
Lynch leaned back in his chair and then yawned. He didn't resist the drowsiness and let Dunn pull him into Elizabeth's dream as well.
This is clearly a battlefield, and also the place where Elizabeth has nightmares.
Elizabeth stood there blankly in her court dress until Lynch and Dunn appeared.
"Ah, Mr. Trance, and this gentleman, what are you doing here?"
Elizabeth looked at them curiously; the dream that should have filled her with fear now seemed much better.
"I really want to know what your relationship is with that Ms. Rozanne. She keeps telling me that you and another gentleman named Klein are a couple."
Lynch:...
Didn't Rozanne promise not to spread rumors about him?
"She's lying. Actually, she likes women, but she's worried that women like me, so that's why she said that. If you see her next time, please tell her that I've already guessed her evil intentions."
Lynch revealed a smug smile.
Dunn, standing nearby, couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head. He patted Lynch on the shoulder, seemingly sighing, "I didn't expect you to be so carefree in my dreams. You're still young, it's better this way."
His gentle tone made Lynch turn his head away somewhat awkwardly.
He really wanted to say: Captain, this isn't being frivolous, this is spreading rumors about Rozanne in reverse!
