Promotion to Sequence 7
As Klein boarded the train to Backlund, Lynch was taking Sequence 7 Nightmare Potion.
Are you sure this is how you're mixing it? Don't you need to be a little more careful?
He stared at Your Excellency Cecimir's actions, a hesitant expression on his face. When Lord Cecimir Your Excellency preparing Potion for Klein, he seemed quite serious, but when he tried to prepare them for him, he discovered that the markings on the potions were inaccurate.
"Don't worry, there won't be any problems."
Cecimir looked at him with amusement.
This Goddess's attendant seems quite lively; he had always thought Goddess ' attendants were more serious!
no problem?
Lynch hesitated before tossing a coin. He had just switched to the Seer's Pathway, and in the current situation, he felt guilty if he didn't consult the oracle!
However, the divination results were generally good; there were some issues, but nothing serious.
This is the correct reaction; after all, Potion have some issues, and it's impossible for them to be completely problem-free.
Once he was sure everything was alright, Lynch drank the Potion.
Soon, his Spirituality increased again, his gaze rose, and he looked down with ease at himself and Your Excellency Cecimir, who were both stunned below.
The Stone of Myriad Phenomena seemed to have changed somewhat, but Lynch didn't look at it. He simply kept restraining his Spirituality, trying to return to normal as soon as possible.
"Congratulations, you are now a Nightmare Master."
Cecimir said cheerfully.
Lynch was in a good mood. He thanked Cecimir several times before going out to let Leonard in.
The Holy Cathedral has sent him, Dunn, and Leonard three Potion, which they will all take under Your Excellency Cecimir's Potion.
How does it feel to Nightmare?
Leonard asked curiously from the doorway.
Lynch thought for a moment, then told him very formally, "It feels great. Tonight I can go to your dreams to eat, just like the captain did before."
"That's Klein— "
Leonard said instinctively, then quickly shut his mouth.
Dunn told the Holy Cathedral about their grave-digging, and two days later Your Excellency Cecimir arrived. She then made them swear an oath under the Goddess's scepter that they would not tell anyone that Klein was not dead.
Your Excellency Cecimir stated that Klein's identity was absolutely genuine and instructed the two of them to cease all involvement in the matter and to stop spreading it.
This caused him and Dunn to always feel somewhat out of place in the team. When others reminisced about Klein, the two of them could only look at each other and then quickly change the subject.
Especially in front of Lynch, who was in great Affliction, they were unsure whether to mention Klein and felt somewhat guilty.
Because they knew Klein was alive, they didn't tell Lynch out of caution, leaving Lynch to grieve and remember him silently.
He also wants you to be happier.
Leonard said cautiously.
Lynch glanced at him and increasingly felt that Leonard had dug up Klein's grave, after all, the guy always seemed to have something to say but couldn't, which was really strange.
However, he didn't intend to delve into it. He still didn't know how to face the news that his friend was alive. He couldn't very well say that he was going to go and bring Mr. Fool back now, could he?
He shook his head at this thought.
"I guess he wouldn't think that way. He'd probably tell me to lend him some money and not to worry about me. I know what I'm doing. But you, you used to always pick on Klein. Everyone said you two didn't get along. I never expected that you would know what he was thinking now."
Leonard:----
Honestly, even if the Holy Cathedral testified for Klein, he didn't think Klein was a good person, at least not a good friend. He faked his death without a word, which almost made him cry; let alone Lynch.
This guy was acting so quietly that both Renrad and Dunn suspected he was planning something big, like going to Ince Zangwill together?
Leonard didn't need to say anything; Lynch already knew what he and Dunn were thinking.
During this period, he has been facing strange looks from Dunn and Leonard. Sometimes, no matter how he explains, neither of them believes that he is in good condition.
This time, he plans to approach it from a different angle.
"Really, don't worry. I won't do anything to take Ince Zangwill. After all, I'm only Sequence 7 right now. How can Sequence 7 take him down with me? He's already a demigod. Someone like me probably wouldn't even be able to get close to him."
This explanation worked well; Leonard believed it.
He breathed a sigh of relief, clearly knowing that Lynch wouldn't be able to get revenge for the time being.
"Once I reach demigod status, we'll go together. If you go alone, he might get away."
He promised that he was worried Lynch might be driven mad by hatred and provoke Ince Zangwill before he even reached demigod status.
"I know, the captain said so too."
Lynch nodded, glanced at the open door, and urged Leonard to go inside quickly. Did he think that Your Excellency Cecimir had come here to see them comfort their teammates?
After shooing Leonard away, Lynch returned to the ground, where Rozanne cautiously told him that Dunn wanted to speak with him.
Lynch sighed.
After he discovered Klein's death, he became the one who needed comforting; everyone felt that he was suffering in silence.
He said he wasn't sad, but nobody believed him.
He couldn't be too obvious, or people would think he knew Klein was alive, so he could only face his teammates' worried gazes every day.
"Okay, I understand. Actually, I think I'm fine. The most heartbroken person should be Leonard. You know he's always inseparable from Klein."
Lynch winked at Rozanne, then, in a good mood, quickly walked to Dunn's office, wondering what Dunn wanted to see him about.
"Sit down. The order from the Holy Cathedral has come down. The three of us will go to Backlund together. I will lead a team on my own. I asked the Holy Cathedral for you and Leonard, but we still don't have enough people. We need two more members to assist us."
We can choose these two candidates ourselves, or we can wait for Backlund to assign them to us. Do you have anyone you recommend? Don't choose from the Tingen Nighthawks squad; several of us have left, and we can't transfer anyone else right now."
Lynch hesitated for a moment, then considered recommending Klein.
Klein is currently disguising himself; he doesn't know if he can rejoin the Nighthawks squad.
But it's hard to say; maybe the Goddess won't want him!
Lynch almost laughed, but he held it in.
"I have no one to recommend; all my friends are here."
Dunn fell silent; Lynch's words felt like stabbing him in the back.
"If we choose Miss Daly, will the Holy Cathedral approve it?"
Seeing that he didn't speak, Lynch asked hesitantly.
He thought Daly was perfect, so why go to the trouble of looking elsewhere?
"She might think that sending a regular squad wouldn't be a good idea—"
Dunn was a little conflicted. He subconsciously lit another cigarette, but he immediately put it out, feeling that it wasn't right.
"Alright, stop hesitating. She's happy to work with you. Personally, I think that in Miss Daly's heart, your future is just as important as yours. If you don't want to invite her, then I will. If Miss Daly falls in love with me, remember to give us a generous gift!"
Dunn:!!
He gritted his teeth, then glared angrily at Leonard, who had just entered.
Look what you've done to Lynch!
Leonard looked at them blankly, not understanding why he had been scolded.
