"Quick, throw away the Wooden Carving!"
Once everyone around them had grown drowsy, Dunn immediately told Daly to throw away the Wooden Carving.
As soon as she discarded it, their surroundings emptied.
The bustling street now held nothing but a black dog.
The creature had clearly sensed danger and tried to flee, but soon discovered a barrier around it. No matter how it tried to cross, it remained trapped in place.
"Explosion!"
Lynch threw an Explosion Charm onto the Devil Dog, tearing open its flesh. He seized the chance to fire, but by then, the Devil Dog had already leaped aside.
Even injured, it still looked rather terrifying.
Just as Lynch was about to use Creeping Hunger against the Devil Dog, Dunn appeared beside him.
"This is a dream. No need to risk your life."
"Ah, right, right!"
Of course he knew it was a dream. The Stone of Myriad Phenomena was constantly consuming energy. He had only wanted to test the Devil Dog's strength in the dream-
that was all.
But now that Dunn had come over to remind him, he certainly couldn't keep risking his life.
Lynch nodded as though he had only just realized it, then Dunn kicked him out of the dream.
No big deal.
The Devil Dog was standing still, its eyes lightly closed, as though immersed in a dream.
But Lynch didn't approach it immediately. Instead, he threw another Slumber Charm onto the creature, then raised his gloved hand and pressed it against the Devil Dog's head.
As Creeping Hunger devoured it, the Devil Dog finally reacted. It broke out of the dream and tried to bite Lynch, but it was already too late.
Creeping Hunger had completely devoured its brain.
Bang, bang, bang!
Dunn, Leonard, and Daly fired at the Devil Dog simultaneously,
