The Reclusive Tang Hao and Ah Yin
Soft footsteps came from inside the door.
The door opened, Fu Shiyan stood inside, looking at Tang San's face, which was filled with joy. The corners of her mouth turned up slightly, and a hint of approval flashed in her eyes.
He smiled and nodded, raising his right hand.
Tang San almost subconsciously lowered his head, leaned closer, squinted his eyes, and revealed a comfortable expression.
Fu Shiyan paused slightly.
He looked at Tang San's natural demeanor, a complex expression flashing in his eyes, which then turned into a faint smile.
"You..."
He raised his hand and gently ruffled Tang San's hair.
The deep blue hair shimmered with a soft sheen in the morning light, its texture as supple as that of some gentle little animal.
Tang San closed his eyes, enjoying his master's rare intimacy, and couldn't stop smiling.
Fu Shiyan withdrew her hand, her tone returning to calm:
"As for your fifth Spirit Ring, go ask your mother. She might have a better choice regarding the Blue Silver Emperor."
Tang San was taken aback.
Mother?
He blinked, then realized what was happening.
Yes, Mother is the Blue Silver Emperor.
She has lived on this continent for tens of thousands of years, and her understanding of Blue Silver Grass is probably deeper than anyone else's.
His first thought was always of his master.
But Master is right; Mother probably has more insights into the choice of Spirit Ring for the Blue Silver Emperor.
He nodded, his tone carrying a hint of realization:
"Yes, Master. Shall we go now?"
Fu Shiyan nodded.
Heaven Dou City, in a secluded courtyard.
The courtyard is small, nestled at the foot of the mountain, surrounded by lush bamboo forests, with a stream flowing in front of it, its waters gurgling softly.
The courtyard was enclosed by bamboo, and morning glories climbed all over the fence. The purple flowers bloomed in the morning light, emitting a faint fragrance.
Since Ah Yin's resurrection, Tang Hao has stopped paying attention to the rights and wrongs of the world.
He brought Ah Yin here and they began a life of seclusion.
He spent his days planting vegetables, fishing, and talking with Ah Yin; his days were peaceful and uneventful.
The fact that Clear Sky Sect plotted to kill Ah Yin back then now seems to be an undeniable fact.
Those truths, like a dull knife, cut into his heart again and again.
But Ah Yin has come back to life.
His wife, whom he thought he had lost forever, was standing beside him now, smiling, talking, and playfully scolding him for cooking too vigorously.
That's enough for him.
The hidden injuries in his body, accumulated over the years, had long since become a chronic problem.
All he wanted was for Xiao San to grow up a bit more, until the child was able to stand on her own two feet. Then he would find a time to expel all the stagnant blood from his body, sever one of his legs and one of his arms, and return the two Spirit Bone to Xiao San.
From now on, Tang Hao will just be Tang Hao.
He had no intention of seeking revenge against the Clear Sky Sect, nor did he intend to get involved in any of the sect's affairs.
From then on, he had no further connection with the Clear Sky Sect.
Apart from his eldest brother and youngest sister, no one else in the Clear Sky Sect was his family anymore.
Right now, the kitchen is bustling with activity.
Tang Hao, with his sleeves rolled up and his hands covered in flour, was diligently kneading a dough.
His movements were large, each one making the panel vibrate and rattle, and his expression was as focused as if he were facing a powerful enemy.
Ah Yin stood beside him, holding a kitchen knife and chopping vegetables.
Seeing Tang Hao's expression, as if he wanted to smash the panel to pieces, her lips twitched, and she finally couldn't help but speak:
"Hey, Brother Hao, why are you using so much force? Are you trying to smash this noodle to death?"
Tang Hao paused.
Ah Yin sighed, put down the cleaver, wiped her hands, and walked over to push him away from the counter.
"You can leave now, I'll do it myself!"
Tang Hao opened his mouth, wanting to refute, but found that he really didn't have much confidence.
He looked at Ah Yin's eyes, which held a mixture of disdain and helplessness, gave an awkward smile, and stepped aside.
Just then--
"Bang bang bang."
There was a knock on the courtyard gate.
Tang Hao felt as if he had been granted a pardon. His eyes lit up, and he hurried towards the door, calling out to Ah Yin as he went:
"Ah Yin, I'll go open the door!"
His steps were light and quick, not at all like a man who was over fifty years old.
Ah Yin watched his retreating figure, shook her head with a smile, and turned back to continue kneading the dough.
Tang Hao opened the fence gate.
The two people outside the door startled him for a moment.
Fu Shiyan stood in front, her face calm.
Tang San stood behind him, his long, azure hair swaying gently in the breeze, a faint smile on his face.
Tang Hao subconsciously tried to straighten his back and adopt the image of a profound and unfathomable father.
Then he remembered that his face and beard were covered in flour.
His face flushed red instantly.
He coughed lightly, trying to make his voice sound normal.
"They've arrived?"
Fu Shiyan nodded.
Tang San looked at his father's disheveled appearance, his lips twitched slightly, and he suppressed a laugh.
Tang Hao stepped aside and called into the house:
"Ah Yin! The Xiao San is here! Mr. Fu is here too! Stop what you're doing!"
Ah Yin surprised voice came from the kitchen:
"Your son is here? Mr. Fu is here too?"
Immediately afterwards, the sound of footsteps rang out.
Ah Yin rushed out of the kitchen, still wearing her cooking apron and holding a rolling pin.
The moment she saw Tang San, her eyes lit up, and she rushed forward, pulling Tang San into her arms.
"Oh, my Xiao San! I miss her so much!"
Tang San's face flushed red.
He was held tightly by Ah Yin, feeling the familiar scent of his mother, and a warm feeling welled up in his heart, but his face was burning hot.
He subconsciously turned his head and looked at Fu Shiyan for help.
Fu Shiyan stood to the side, a mischievous smile playing on her lips, ignoring his pleas for help.
Tang Hao stood to the side, watching his son's embarrassed appearance, coughed twice, reached out and tugged at Ah Yin's arm, lowering his voice to say:
"Ah Yin, Mr. Fu is still here."
Ah Yin then realized what was happening, quickly released Tang San, and turned to Fu Shiyan with an apologetic smile:
"I'm sorry, Mr. Fu, Ah Yin was rude."
Fu Shiyan smiled and waved her hand:
"No problem."
He paused, glanced in the direction of the kitchen, and asked:
Are you cooking?
Ah Yin nodded, a hint of anticipation on her face:
"If Mr. Fu doesn't mind, please have a simple meal here."
Fu Shiyan nodded.
Ah Yin's smile deepened, and she quickly invited the others into the house.
Tang Hao followed at the back, secretly patting the flour off his robes and wiping his face, trying to make himself look less disheveled.
Ah Yin's cooking skills are excellent.
Several simple home-style dishes, all beautifully presented and delicious, were laid out on the table.
Tang Hao sat to the side, unusually silent, only glancing at Ah Yin from time to time, then at Tang San, his eyes filled with satisfaction.
Halfway through the meal, Fu Shiyan put down her chopsticks and said:
"Xiao San has broken through level 50 and needs to acquire his fifth Spirit Ring. I'd like to hear your opinion, Ah Yin."
Tang Hao suddenly stopped picking up food with his chopsticks.
He and Ah Yin exchanged a glance, both seeing shock in each other's eyes.
Level 50?
An eleven-year-old Spirit King?
Tang Hao's mouth opened slightly, and the food on his chopsticks fell onto the table, but he didn't notice.
Ah Yin was also stunned. She looked at Tang San with disbelief in her eyes.
"Xiao San, you... you really broke through level 50?"
