" Bibi Dong!"
Yu Xiaogang's voice suddenly rose, as if something had exploded in his chest.
His face flushed red, his hands trembled, and the token vibrated in his palm.
"I am speaking to you in my capacity as an honorary elder of the Spirit Hall!"
Bibi Dong looked at him, and the corners of her mouth curved slightly.
"Honorary Elder?"
Her voice wasn't loud, but every word was like a knife.
"You've come to Spirit City to flaunt your power with the Elder Token of the Clear Sky Sect?"
She paused, her gaze falling on the token before returning to Yu Xiaogang's face.
" Yu Xiaogang, don't you know that Tang Hao is the murderer of the previous Pope?"
Yu Xiaogang's lips moved slightly.
He wanted to say, " Tang Hao is Tang Hao, and the token is the token."
But he couldn't say it, because what Bibi Dong said was true.
Bibi Dong did not wait for his reply.
"However, the Spirit Hall is not an unreasonable person."
Her tone softened, as if she were bestowing a handout.
"We won't hold it against you just because you have this token."
She shifted her gaze from Yu Xiaogang and turned it back to Xiao Wu.
As for why I called out to that girl...
She paused, then looked around.
"It's not because she did anything wrong."
Her voice lowered, so low that the entire audience held their breath.
"It's because she's not human."
The last four characters, each one like a nail.
Tang San's body tensed up suddenly.
He grasped Xiao Wu's hand, holding it tightly.
He didn't say anything, but he didn't expect that the disguise of " Moon Shadow Grass " would still be seen through.
Yu Xiaogang stood there, stunned.
He glanced back at Xiao Wu, then at Tang San, his lips trembling, unable to utter a single word.
Bibi Dong didn't look at him.
Her eyes were fixed on that slightly trembling figure, as if examining an object that had been misplaced.
"The transformation of the Hundred-Thousand-Year Soft Bone Rabbit."
Her words were devoid of emotion; they were merely statements.
"Your Moon Shadow Grass can fool ordinary Titled Douluo, but it can't fool me."
She raised her scepter, pointed it at Xiao Wu, and a wisp of Soul Power surged in, breaking the aura of the Moon Shadow Grass.
Xiao Wu lowered her head.
Her body stopped trembling, not because she was no longer afraid, but because she finally didn't need to hide anymore.
She hid for so many years, from Nuoding City to Suotuo City to Heaven Dou City to Spirit City.
She thought she could stay hidden forever, remaining hidden in the identity of " Third Brother's Sister."
It was hidden beneath the shell of that human girl with the scorpion-tail braid.
It can't be hidden anymore.
She didn't look up, but she could feel everyone's gaze.
Ten thousand pairs of eyes, like ten thousand knives.
She didn't run away; she just held Tang San's hand tightly.
" Third Brother." Her voice was very soft.
So softly that only he could hear it. "I'm sorry."
Tang San didn't speak; he simply gripped her hand tighter.
Bibi Dong's gaze swept over her, and the corners of her mouth curved slightly.
"A young, humanoid Soul Beast came to Spirit City to participate in the Soul Master Tournament."
There was something indescribable in her voice; it wasn't sarcasm.
It's more like a condescending pity.
"I don't know whether to call you stupid or really that 'naive'?"
These words landed on the ring like a stone thrown into ice.
On Shrek's side Dai Mubai suddenly turned his head to look at Xiao Wu.
His mouth opened and closed, and Zhu Zhuqing's usually impassive face visibly showed surprise.
Ma Hongjun stood there, looking completely incredulous.
Oscar held Ma Hongjun tightly, without even realizing that his grip was a little tighter than usual.
Ning Rongrong covered her mouth.
"I've actually been sharing a room with a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast for so long."
Flender stood by the ring, his face ashen.
Liu Erlong gripped Yu Xiaogang's sleeve tightly, her nails digging into the fabric.
Yu Xiaogang was still standing in front of Tang San, holding up the token.
His hand was trembling; the edge of the token dug into his palm, leaving a red mark.
He didn't turn around.
He dared not look at Xiao Wu, nor dared he look at Tang San.
He had taught Tang San for so many years, yet he had never asked about the girl's background.
In the VIP section, Ning Fengzhi's cane tapped briefly on the carpet.
He didn't speak, but his gaze changed.
He was like a connoisseur, and he knew the value of Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast better than anyone else.
Sword Douluo Chen Xin placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, his gaze falling on Xiao Wu, then on Tang San.
However, she still Ning Fengzhi.
" Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring, Hundred Thousand Year Soul Bone
He whispered, so that only Ning Fengzhi could hear him.
"There are at least five Titled Douluo watching her here."
Ning Fengzhi tightened his grip on his cane.
"Let's see what His Majesty decides."
Xue Qinghe sat still, her gaze falling on Xiao Wu, then shifting to Chen Jieqi.
She remembered many things.
He remembered that he never took the initiative to get close to that girl, and he never put her in danger.
She thought it was caution, but now she knows he knew from the beginning.
She lowered her eyes, and the corners of her mouth curved slightly, a very faint smile that no one noticed.
"You know everything," she thought to herself. "Then when will you tell me?"
Dugu Bo stood in the VIP lounge corridor, arms crossed, that brat's expression was too calm.
Dugu Bo snorted.
He recalled that a few years ago, when Chen Jieqi returned from Suotuo City, his tone was a little off when he talked about the girl with the scorpion braid from Shrek.
He didn't pay attention at the time, but now that he thinks about it, that kid probably saw through him at first glance.
"The aura of Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast." He cursed inwardly, "You've kept it a secret."
On Huangdou's side, Chen Jieqi stood still, his gaze falling on Xiao Wu before shifting away.
Within the Soul Ring, Sheng Hui's voice rang out.
"That rabbit can't hide anymore."
Chen Jieqi did not answer.
"Aren't you surprised?"
"Not surprising."
"So what do you plan to do?"
Chen Jieqi did not answer.
Dugu Yan stood beside him and glanced at him.
Yu Tianheng stood behind her, his gaze falling on Xiao Wu, then on Tang San.
He took no action, nor was he qualified to do so.
Bibi Dong didn't give him time to think.
"I was just curious..." she said, looking at Tang San.
Do you even know who this 'sister' you're protecting really is?
Tang San raised his head, this time looking straight at him seriously, without the slightest fear.
"I know."
His voice wasn't loud, but everyone in the room could hear it.
"She's my sister. From day one in Nuoding City."
Bibi Dong looked at him for a few moments, then she smiled, a smile devoid of warmth.
"Sister," she repeated the word, as if savoring its taste.
"A Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast recognizes a human as its older brother."
Her gaze returned to Xiao Wu.
"Aren't you afraid that one day he'll discover the truth and turn you into one of his Soul Ring?"
Xiao Wu's body stiffened for a moment. But she did not back down.
She raised her head and looked directly at Bibi Dong for the first time.
Tears welled in her eyes, but they didn't fall.
He won't.
Three words, spoken softly, yet each one uttered with unwavering resolve.
The entire room remained silent for a long time.
Then, Bibi Dong turned around, facing the audience, and gently tapped her scepter on the stone platform.
"Gentlemen."
Her voice wasn't loud, but everyone could hear it clearly.
"Humans and Soul Beast are irreconcilable enemies. This has been an ironclad law for millennia."
Her gaze swept across the entire arena, over the Titled Douluo who were already beginning to stir.
It swept across those greedy, fearful, and excited eyes.
" Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast transforms into human form, infiltrates Spirit City, and participates in the Soul Master Tournament..."
She paused.
"As the Pope of the Spirit Hall, it is my duty to capture her."
The scepter paused again.
" Elder Ju, Ghost Elder."
Two figures emerged from behind the VIP seats and landed on either side of the arena.
The pressure of Titled Douluo was released without reservation, and the air itself became viscous.
"Take that girl down."
Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan's lips curled slightly as he looked at Xiao Wu as if she were a fine collectible.
Ghost Douluo Gui Mei silent, but his figure had already blended into the shadows, sealing off all of Xiao Wu's escape routes.
Tang San completely shielded Xiao Wu behind him.
The Clear Sky Hammer solidified in his left hand, and his dark red fifth Soul Ring lit up.
"Anyone who dares to touch her will have to step over me first."
Two words: Unwavering as iron!
