A Soul Ring is a carrier of energy that grants Soul Skills after being absorbed. Although Soul Beast hunting is the conventional method of acquisition, it is not the only method; sufficiently powerful energy sources can also condense into Soul Rings. 2 29

Soul Rings manifest as circular bands of light that rise from beneath a Soul Master's feet and orbit their body. Zhao Mu's first ring appeared as a clear purple band after Heibai consumed purple bamboo. 2

Heibai, Zhao Mu's Iron-Eating Beast Martial Soul, can consume powerful materials and transfer their energy to Zhao Mu through their symbiotic connection, allowing Soul Rings to form without killing a Soul Beast. 2

A Soul Spirit Contract extracts a Soul Beast's soul and binds it to a Soul Master without killing it. The contracted being provides Soul Ring-like effects while continuing to coexist with its partner. 113

Dominating Bear, Roaring Thunder

Zhao Mu's first Soul Skill places Heibai in a lightning-enhanced state, increasing its size and altering its fur while enabling several lightning-based attacks. 3
