Background / History

Shen Feng was originally an ordinary engineering graduate from Earth who died suddenly and transmigrated to the Douluo Continent. He was born to Shen Rui and Ling Na, two Soul Masters who settled in Shuiyun Village after competing in the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. 1

At age three, Shen Feng recovered enough of his past-life memories to begin seeking materials for firearms and ammunition. Drawing on his science and engineering education, he spent three years reproducing guns from his original world. His first major creation was the 45 mm .45 Breaker, built for Shen Rui’s use while hunting soul beasts. 1

At six, Shen Feng awakened Innate Full Soul Power and a lightning-attribute Leiming Blade martial soul. He later disclosed that he possessed Twin Martial Souls: the Leiming Blade and a Body Martial Soul, which could be used simultaneously. 2 3

Flender recruited Shen Feng to Shrek Academy, but Shen Feng’s family accepted only after establishing conditions protecting his education and right to leave. Shen Feng studied there alongside Oscar, exchanged self-created skills and practical support for academy resources, and eventually left with Oscar to establish Soul Hunting Town and the Soul Hunting Guild. 4 17 21

During his travels with Dugu Bo, Shen Feng entered the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
