"Lao Tang? Lao Tang?"
Tang Wulin called out repeatedly in his spiritual world, but Tang San seemed to have gone offline and gave no further response.
Left with no choice, Tang Wulin withdrew from his spiritual world.
The bus sped along the road and soon entered the outskirts of Eastsea City.
Through the window, Su Mo immediately guessed Wu Zhangkong's destination when he saw the metal sign ahead reading "Donghai Soul Guidance Technology Park."
If nothing unexpected happened, the place Wu Zhangkong was taking them to should be the Tang Sect branch established in Eastsea City.
As one of the Sun Moon Federation's three top forces, the Tang Sect had branches in every city across the Federation.
Tang Wulin looked around the park like a curious child, his eyes filled with wonder.
Although Donghai Soul Guidance Technology Park was located on the outskirts of Donghai City, it was no less bustling than the city center.
The only difference was that the tall buildings along the roads were spaced farther apart, making the area feel less cramped. The streets, however, were just as packed with traffic and crowds.
It was even known as "the heart of Eastsea City," gathering all of the city's high-tech enterprises. There were even rumors that it had facilities dedicated to producing mechas.
Just as Su Mo had expected, after a series of turns, the bus finally came to a steady stop before a small dark-blue building.
The entire exterior was covered in dark-blue glass, gleaming faintly beneath the sunlight like a tranquil sapphire set amid a jungle of steel and concrete.
Compared to the towering, imposing skyscrapers throughout the park, the little building before them appeared exceptionally insignificant.
Yet upon closer inspection, one would discover that every line along its walls carried an indescribable sense of refinement.
"Teacher Wu, where is this? Why is no one here?"
Looking at the completely deserted entrance, Tang Wulin turned to Wu Zhangkong curiously.
Wu Zhangkong did not answer. Instead, he stepped forward and pressed his hand against the glass.
A bright blue flash flickered past, and a projection abruptly lit up. The voice that spoke carried a hint of teasing. "Yo! Long time no see, Donghai Xiao Changkong."
Ignoring the teasing, Wu Zhangkong merely said coldly, "Open the door. Now."
"Xiao Changkong, after all this time, you're still as boring as ever."
Before Wu Zhangkong could lose his temper, a soft ding rang out, and the glass doors slowly slid open to either side.
"Donghai Xiao Changkong? That name is way too adorable!"
Following behind Wu Zhangkong, Xie Xie quietly grumbled to Tang Wulin.
Suddenly, Xie Xie felt a sharp chill at his neck. Looking up, he saw Wu Zhangkong staring at him with an unfriendly gaze.
Under Wu Zhangkong's death stare, Xie Xie shuddered and hurriedly straightened up. "Teacher Wu, I didn't say anything just now."
Wu Zhangkong swept Xie Xie a cold glance without saying a word.
Beyond the glass doors was a massive, empty room. The pure white floor and dark-blue walls complemented each other. Though the two colors should not have matched at all, they somehow looked perfectly harmonious here.
Wu Zhangkong waved a hand, and a floating metal platform swiftly flew over, carrying four metal wristbands.
"Put them on."
Wu Zhangkong glanced at Su Mo and gave the terse order.
For once, Su Mo did not argue with Wu Zhangkong. He picked up a wristband and put it on.
Watching Su Mo put on the wristband without hesitation, Xie Xie looked curiously at Wu Zhangkong. "Teacher Wu, what is this?"
Before Wu Zhangkong could speak, Su Mo answered for him. "They're identity authentication wristbands. Without one, this building's defense system will treat you as intruders and eliminate you."
Wu Zhangkong gave Su Mo a surprised look, then nodded in acknowledgment.
Xie Xie exclaimed, "That sounds really impressive!"
Once everyone had put on their wristbands, Wu Zhangkong said, "Stay close," and led Su Mo and the others deeper into the room.
At the far end of the room was a winding passageway. After turning several corners and passing through another glass door, a flash of white light appeared, and Wu Zhangkong, who was walking in front, suddenly vanished.
Wu Zhangkong's sudden disappearance made Tang Wulin and the other three stop instinctively.
Seeing Tang Wulin, Gu Yue, and Xie Xie looking like country bumpkins who had never seen the world left Su Mo speechless.
It was understandable that Tang Wulin and Xie Xie did not know anything. Their experience was what it was.
But Gu Yue was publicly Leng Yaozhu's disciple, yet she did not know this either. That was simply inhuman.
"This is Tang Sect spatial technology. I think the content of our upcoming test should be related to the Tang Sect's independently developed Hero Hall."
"Spatial technology? Didn't I hear it wasn't mature yet?"
"And what the hell is Hero Hall?"
Xie Xie fired off his questions like a barrage, but halfway through, he realized something was wrong.
"Wait, you said this is the Tang Sect?"
"The Tang Sect that, together with Shrek and the Spirit Pagoda, is known as the Continental Iron Triangle?"
Xie Xie's voice suddenly rose several pitches.
Before Su Mo could reply, Wu Zhangkong's voice came from all directions. "Enough. This isn't the time for chatting. If you have questions, wait until the assessment is over. You three, take a step forward."
Standing before the control console, Wu Zhangkong looked at Su Mo on the screen and frowned slightly.
Originally, he had planned to use Hero Hall to spark Tang Wulin and the others' interest first, then reveal the existence of the Tang Sect and draw them into joining it.
But with Su Mo's explanation, all his careful preparations had come to nothing.
At that moment, Wu Zhangkong even regretted bringing Su Mo here.
He had not intended to bring Su Mo in the first place. Judging from Su Mo's conduct and knowledge, he definitely would not join the Tang Sect.
But Su Mo's background was still shrouded in mystery, so Wu Zhangkong reluctantly brought him along after all.
Here, Wu Zhangkong could record every detail of Su Mo's battles in Hero Hall.
When the time came, all he had to do was upload footage of Su Mo's battles to the Tang Sect headquarters' server. With the Tang Sect headquarters' resources, investigating the force behind Su Mo would be effortless.
Hero Hall was a technology independently developed by the Tang Sect. It used various data to simulate Tang Sect members throughout history, providing Tang Sect members with real combat experience.
However, those Tang Sect fools mindlessly deified their ancestors, boosting the strength of the simulated Soul Masters several times over. Yet they still stubbornly claimed to the outside world that the simulations only reproduced seventy percent of their ancestors' power.
As a result, the Tang Sect's Hero Hall was mockingly nicknamed the "Tang Sect Hero Hall" by people from other organizations.
I hope this won't affect Tang Wulin and the others joining the Tang Sect.
Wu Zhangkong muttered softly to himself.
The moment Su Mo took a step forward into the area where Wu Zhangkong had disappeared, his entire body was immediately enveloped by a strange energy.
Su Mo was not unfamiliar with this strange energy. In fact, it felt very familiar. It was exactly the sensation he had experienced when he first used Flying Thunder God.
Wrapped in that strange energy, Su Mo vanished in an instant amid a flash of white light.
Tang Wulin and the others looked at the suddenly vanished Su Mo, exchanging glances. Then they gathered their courage and stepped forward one by one.
"So this is the space the Tang Sect opened up for Hero Hall?"
Having been teleported over, Su Mo looked at the dark-blue ceiling and floor before him, a trace of amazement appearing on his face.
Douluo Continent's development of space far exceeded his expectations.
Creating an independent space out of thin air and keeping it from collapsing was something only a handful of people in Naruto could accomplish.
