Background / History

Wu Zhangkong trained at Shrek Academy under the Sea God Pavilion elder Zhuo Shi and became both an Inner Court disciple and a core disciple of the Tang Sect. His relationship with Long Bing ultimately led him to leave Shrek, sacrificing his own path to the Inner Court for love. Long Bing later died protecting him at the hands of his father, Dark Fengniao, one of the Holy Spirit Cult’s Four Heavenly Kings. 45 120

At Eastsea Academy, Wu Zhangkong established and instructed Class Zero, training Tang Wulin, Gu Yue, Xie Xie, Su Mo, and later Xu Xiaoyan. He selected Tang Wulin as the core of the team because of his leadership potential and pushed the class through harsh practical instruction. 12 24 56 61

Wu Zhangkong remains deeply invested in Shrek’s reputation despite having left the academy. News of Shrek’s humiliation by Di Qiu’er visibly shook his composure, and he later stated that he trained his students in the hope that they could enter Shrek’s Inner Court and fulfill the aspiration he failed to achieve. 27 120

After Class Zero fractured, he concluded that Tang Wulin and Xie Xie needed stronger cultivation opportunities and chose to take a position at Shrek City’s Blacksmith Association for the sake of his students’ futures. 196

Appearance

Wu Zhangkong is a tall man with a consistently cold, stern expression. His presence is often described as icy and blade-like, while his long hair and frost-themed equipment reinforce his severe image. 9 27

  • Carries the Sky Frost Sword martial soul. 45
  • Radiates a freezing aura when fighting seriously, capable of frosting the ground around him. 9
  • His two-word Battle Armor, Sky Ice, is silver-white and ice-blue, with sharp lines and a frost-and-snow phantom behind him. 46

Personality

Wu Zhangkong is disciplined, proud, and uncompromising as an instructor. He expects students to obey his commands and does not hesitate to use harsh criticism, provocation, or punishing training to force them to confront their weaknesses. 9 21 24 61

Abilities & Skills

Sky Frost Sword

Wu Zhangkong’s martial soul is the Sky Frost Sword, an ice-attributed sword that he uses for close combat, suppression, and large-scale freezing attacks. 45 46

  • Condenses ice-attribute soul power into blades for sudden attacks. 10
  • Projects a cold, murderous aura that lowers the surrounding temperature and coats the ground in frost. 9
  • Uses Sky Frost Slash, his Third Soul Skill, to release a powerful freezing sword attack. 70
  • Demonstrates advanced sword intent, including Sky Frost Sword intent, during his second spar with Su Mo. 70

Tang Sect Secret Techniques

As a Tang Sect core disciple, Wu Zhangkong practices several inherited techniques with exceptional precision. 9 45

  • Mysterious Heaven Skill — circulates soul power and supports his combat techniques. 9
  • Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon — gathers and redirects scattered objects; he used it to collect fragments of a shattered pointer and fire them at Su Mo. 9
  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — produces elusive, phantom-like movement patterns that can surround opponents. 9
  • Purple Demon Eye — enhances his perception, allowing him to notice minute openings in an opponent’s movements. 10 70

Two-Word Battle Armor: Sky Ice

Wu Zhangkong possesses the complete two-word Battle Armor Sky Ice, upgraded from the one-word armor “Ice.” 46

  • Greatly amplifies his combat aura, allowing a Spirit Emperor to contend with a Spirit Douluo. 46
  • Enhances the Sky Frost Sword’s solidity, length, and freezing power. 46
  • Its ice aura can neutralize mental attacks but is dangerous enough to frost nearby allies. 46
  • Allowed him to hold off Long San’s Soul Mourning Banner and its masses of vengeful souls. 46 47

Teaching and Combat Analysis

Wu Zhangkong designs training to expose tactical flaws and build confidence through pressure. 9 24 60 61

  • Explains cultivation-system differences to restore his students’ confidence after Su Mo’s rapid advancement. 57 58
