Background / History

Dai Wei was a man from Earth reborn as David in Wushan Town, in the Coiling Dragon World. He was the son of mercenaries Allen and Elena, who died in the Magical Beast Mountain Range when he was seven. Their estate and two thousand gold coins supported him after their deaths, while Elton—Allen's former classmate and the Baruch Clan guard captain—protected him during his childhood. 178 180

David chose to pursue magic alongside warrior training. At the Fenlai City enrollment test, he displayed super-grade affinities for Earth and Fire, high-grade Water affinity, and spiritual energy sixty-eight times stronger than his peers. Ernst Institute accepted him, and the Baruch Clan sponsored his studies. 180

At Ernst, David maintained a demanding routine of elemental classes, warrior training, and nightly meditation. His talent made his early rise exceptionally fast, but he also sought to strengthen his foundation through practical experience, art, and solitary cultivation. 181 196

Appearance

David is capable of changing his presentation to avoid attention, including altering his face and cutting his hair short before entering the Magical Beast Mountain Range. 184

  • His skin remained unusually smooth after prolonged Water Element cultivation. 188
  • During wilderness cultivation, his clothing deteriorated to magical-beast-hide shorts and he often trained barefoot to sense the earth more clearly. 187
  • His Earth Divine Clone is typically associated with earthy-yellow divine power and Gravity Space. 251

Personality

David is ambitious, pragmatic, and intensely committed to cultivation. Rebirth gave him a deliberate outlook: he planned to develop both magic and Battle Qi rather than rely on a single path. His willingness to re-learn basic movements after identifying flaws in his combat foundation reflects his patience and self-criticism. 178 187

He generally avoids unnecessary attention despite his talent, preferring solitude and low-key self-improvement. However, he is confident when facing powerful opponents and actively seeks sparring partners or dangerous environments to test himself. 183 198 236

His conduct is situational. He protects inexperienced warriors and keeps promises to the Baruch Clan, but in the Netherworld he readily kills hostile bandits and rivals, accepting its survival-of-the-fittest order. 188 194 223 224

David also values mortal pleasures—food, wine, art, and companionship—as a way to retain his humanity despite becoming a god. 183 233 270

Abilities & Skills

Tri-Element Magic

David possesses exceptional aptitude for Earth, Fire, and Water magic.

  • Earth and Fire affinities are super-grade; Water affinity is high-grade. 180
  • He trained as a triple-element mage and later became a god through Earth, Fire, and Water Laws. 187 218 221
  • He can alternate between mage-based and warrior-based attacks during combat. 201
  • His Water Element Forbidden Magic, Absolute Zero, countered Hayward's Fire Forbidden Magic, Phoenix Manifestation. 201

Gravity Space

David's signature Earth-Law technique creates a gravity field that suppresses enemies' speed and movement.

  • Began as an improved Gravity Spell, raised from fourfold to fivefold gravity. 187
  • Reached twenty-threefold gravity after comprehending Gravity Space in an underground cavern. 194
  • Produced a thirtyfold gravity field during his spar with Haydson. 198
  • Reached sixtyfold gravity after a breakthrough in the Necropolis of the Gods. 209
  • Later incorporated Earth Element, Earth Pulse, and Life Force mysteries; its four-mystery form could instantly kill Six-Star Fiends. 241 243
  • Its principal limitation is David's relative lack of speed compared with specialists in speed-based Laws. 234

Earth Pulse and Physical Combat

David is a blade-wielding warrior whose Earth-Law insights enhance his material attacks and defense.

  • He refined his basic chopping, hacking, sweeping, lifting, and stabbing until his attacks carried the heaviness of earth. 187
  • His Earth Pulse attacks can strike through defenses and damage internal organs. 206 217
  • His Pulsing Defense protects his body, though numerous simultaneous high-level attacks can break it. 208
  • His strengthened original body became comparable to a Mid-God Artifact, increasing physical attack power tenfold. 232

Soul Techniques and Death Rules

David's powerful soul is central to both his magical growth and Death Rules cultivation.

  • His soul took the form of a seven-colored scythe upon reaching Saint Magus. 195
  • His Soul Attacks can annihilate foes with weak spiritual defenses, including Abyss Blade Demons. 208
  • His Death God Clone studies souls, controls even Mid-Gods through soul techniques, and creates God-Slaying Arrows, Soul Venom, and Soul Poison Mist. 246
  • His soul defense is enhanced by multiple Highgod soul-defense artifacts and later a Soul-Defense Overgod Artifact. 241 245 257 258

Necromancy

After studying forbidden Death Rules knowledge, David entered the Netherworld and contracted powerful undead.

  • Saint Realm Bone Dragon. 199
  • Golden-Haired Zombie. 199
  • Nether Phoenix. 199
  • Gold Warrior. 199
  • He later built four undead armies, each exceeding one million undead, with his contracted creatures as their cores. 200

Healing and Regeneration

David possesses substantial recovery capabilities.

  • He used healing magic to treat Harold after the divine weapon's forging incident. 190
  • The Life Source Pearl grants near-immortality and rapid recovery from injuries unless he is killed instantly. 205 208
  • His Water Divine Clone specializes in defense and healing. 234

Artistry

Calligraphy and painting are part of David's cultivation practice.

  • Art relaxes him and increases his spiritual energy. 183
  • His major painting epiphanies advanced his mage-level spiritual energy and deepened his connection to nature. 183 186

Equipment / Weapons / Items
