Appearance

Linley normally appears human, but the pressure of the Rule World can force him into his Dragonblood Warrior form. 160

  • His Dragonblood transformation manifests black scales across his body. 50
  • His Fire Sovereign clone is described with long hair moving amid flames and eyes resembling near-white-hot iron. 145

Personality

Linley is disciplined and intensely self-driven. He pursues strength not for status alone, but to ease the burdens on the Baruch Clan, restore its standing, protect those close to him, and eventually seek answers regarding his parents and fallen companions. 21 25 125 147

Despite his growth, he retains a strong sense of fairness. Although he has the power to seize the Baruch heirloom Slaughter, he refuses to rob its owner because the blade was not stolen from his clan. 47 He is also deeply committed to his art, refusing Fang Yun’s offer to purchase his first master-level sculpture, Dream Awakening. 37

As a Sovereign, Linley becomes calmer and more assured without abandoning his caution. He recognizes Fang Yun’s superiority while refusing to diminish his own accomplishments or potential. 147 152

Abilities & Skills

Dual-Element Magic

Linley is a mage with exceptional aptitude in both earth and wind magic. His early studies favor earth magic under Doehring Cowart, while Fang Yun’s sculptures awaken his understanding of wind. 33

  • Uses wind magic’s Flight Technique to remain mobile against stronger transformed warriors. 48
  • Reaches Saint-level magus status after the Necropolis of the Gods. 50
  • His later Soul Mutation allows his clones to share insight into one another’s Laws, greatly accelerating his Fire Laws comprehension. 137

  • His transformed state substantially exceeds his human-form rank. 42 50
  • Grants black scales, powerful physical recovery, and Saint-level combat strength after his human form reaches the ninth rank. 50
  • The Rule World’s pressure can forcibly drive him into this form. 160
