And now Minato was the same way. Could it be that of the four Hokage in all of Konoha, Torifu was the only one who liked to slack off?
Had they inherited some kind of fine tradition?
Torifu couldn't be bothered to worry about it. He'd already taught Minato the tools and the method. Whenever Minato felt tired, he just had to use them.
Torifu wanted to see when Minato would finally be corrupted by the Slacking Technique and become one of its devoted supporters.
But judging by how things were going, it probably wouldn't happen anytime soon.
Torifu went back into the kitchen, poured the last dish into the pan, and stir-fried it quickly before serving it.
"Dinner's ready. Come help bring the dishes over."
There were ten dishes in all. Torifu had spent quite a while preparing them. Most were stews, kept simmering in pots until he was ready to serve them.
Only after Torifu called out did everyone get moving.
Hiruzen Sarutobi had wanted to help, but Uchiha Chirori stopped him. "Let them do it."
Chirori, Anhua, and Kushina were already seated at the table, and Hiruzen was a guest. Naturally, they couldn't ask a guest to do the work.
Before long, all the dishes were on the table.
Hiruzen had been wanting to ask for ages: what kind of cuisine was this? Why had he never tried it before?
Though he'd never tasted it, the food was surprisingly delicious and easy to get used to.
It was rather remarkable. After all, he was already over sixty, and it wasn't easy to change one's tastes and habits.
He didn't know if he'd simply developed a "when in Rome" mindset or what, but Hiruzen thought the food was delicious.
