"How was your time together, you three? I bought lots of delicious food, so you're in for a treat at lunch."
Mito came home carrying two bags of groceries. Torifu stepped forward and helped her take them to the kitchen.
She saw the three generations sitting together and playing on their phones. Usually, Mito would have grumbled at them, but today she didn't.
"What a lovely, cozy scene. This is the best kind of atmosphere. It's about time, so wait a little while—I'll go make lunch."
In the past, whenever Mito prepared a big meal, she invited lots of people over: Torifu's family and Tsunade's family.
But today, she was cooking especially for her granddaughter from another world. She hadn't invited anyone else.
Tsunade Senju felt almost overwhelmed by the unexpected kindness. It had been so long since she'd tasted her grandmother's cooking, and she missed it dearly.
At the same time, she was looking forward to it immensely.
Torifu sat across from Tsunade Senju, watching her play games with Hashirama and Tobirama.
The difference in her demeanor was simply enormous.
Back at her own home, she'd been a middle-aged woman who seemed sick of the world. Now, Tsunade Senju was like a little girl, patiently listening to her two grandfathers explain things.
The difference really was incredible.
Still, Torifu was glad to see it. Tsunade Senju had suffered so much; she deserved to have some sweetness in her life.
Time passed slowly, and Tsunade Senju had already become fairly proficient at using the phone.
It wasn't very complicated, and Tsunade Senju wasn't old. She soon figured out how to use it.
She'd also gotten the hang of some of the easier-to-play ninjas in the game.
Senju Hashirama, for example...
A character with absolutely no technique, but extreme damage output.
