In Yulan City, Liewen cultivated behind closed doors in his own residence.

News came from afar that Linley had unified the Land of Chaos and was about to establish the Baruch Empire.

However, Liewen had no mind to offer congratulations.

That day, a gray figure appeared above Yulan City.

"Liewen, come out!"

A hoarse voice rang throughout the entire imperial capital.

The citizens of the imperial capital all looked up.

At the same time, they began discussing it among themselves.

"Who is that? How dare they shout and make a scene in the imperial capital!"

"Flying in the sky... could that be a Saint Realm expert?"

He walked out of his room and looked up at the slight figure in the sky, forming a suspicion in his heart.

"Is she Lolita?"

"Brother Liewen!"

Lena and Kuhn both ran over, their faces full of worry.

This suddenly appearing powerful expert made them extremely uneasy.

"You two leave first. Don't worry about me," Liewen reassured them.

No one knew what might happen next. If the High Priest and Lolita truly fought, even the aftermath of a battle between God Realm experts would not be something Lena and Kuhn could withstand.

At that moment, Liewen suddenly felt a chill run down his spine, cold air surging upward along his back.

He raised his head and met Lolita's killing intent-filled gaze.

Lolita had not merely called out. She was also using her divine sense to search the entire Yulan City.

After becoming a god, spiritual power would transform into divine sense, allowing one to search for and detect beings of the same level or weaker.

A Lowgod's divine sense was more than sufficient to cover the entirety of Yulan City.

Some of the High Priest's disciples were in the Forest of Life. Though Yulan City had somewhat more Saint Realm experts than other places, there were only around ten in total. It would not be difficult for Lolita to find Liewen.

"Hurry and leave!"

Liewen shouted.

Kuhn quickly dragged Lena away.

Lolita stared at Liewen. Without any visible movement from her, an illusory gray scythe emerged from her body and slashed toward him.

Liewen's mind instantly tensed. That was a Soul Attack cast by a Lowgod of the Laws of Death.

The Laws of Death were naturally skilled in matters of the soul. Lolita intended to kill Liewen in a single strike.

Even though Liewen could now be considered invincible within the Saint Realm, he had no confidence in blocking a God Realm expert.

Not to mention anything else, the Divine Domain alone left him helpless.

The Divine Domain was an ability mastered by all God Realm experts. It was of little use against experts of the same level, but it was extremely convenient when dealing with weaker opponents.

If Lolita used her Divine Domain on Liewen, he would very likely be unable to move at all.

A green beam of light shot over from afar and slammed fiercely into the gray scythe.

The two canceled each other out, turning into gray and green motes of light that dispersed.

The High Priest, dressed in a pale green robe, stood in the air and confronted Lolita.

The two God Realm experts communicated through divine sense. Other than themselves, no one knew what they were saying.

"Liewen."

Master Longers and the Earth Bear, Ahuang, arrived at the residence and found Liewen.

"Master Longers, why are you here?" Liewen asked in surprise.

"I heard the hostile tone of the person in the sky, so I came to take a look," Master Longers said.

Warmth rose in Liewen's heart. During his years in Yulan City, he had often interacted with Master Longers and they had a good relationship, but today was no ordinary day. Master Longers' arrival truly surprised him.

"When did our Yulan Continent gain another God Realm expert?" Master Longers looked up at Lolita in the sky, his expression solemn.

"Kid Liewen, how did you provoke such a terrifying person?" Ahuang the Earth Bear asked.

Liewen roughly explained Lolita's connection to the two great churches, as well as the battle at the Liuyan River.

After listening, Master Longers said, "You needn't worry. With the High Priest in Yulan City, she will not allow Lolita to kill people as she pleases."

Liewen nodded and looked into the sky. Now, he could only place his hopes on the High Priest.

"Lolita, go back." The High Priest communicated with Lolita through divine sense.

"Catherine, are you going to fight me over a mere Saint Realm expert?" Lolita said coldly.

"This is Yulan City. You wish to casually kill a Saint Realm expert of the Yulan Empire here. Do you have any regard for me at all?"

"Oh? If Lord Beirut came to kill him, would you say the same thing?" Lolita's face was full of mockery.

The High Priest did not take it to heart and instead asked, "Are you Lord Beirut?"

Lolita's expression froze, as though she had been choked. In exasperation, she said, "Catherine, I must kill Liewen today. If you stand aside, I'll pretend nothing happened. But if you dare stop me—"

She did not finish the rest, but the killing intent in her words was already unmistakable.

"You want me to stand aside? Dream on!" the High Priest said calmly.

"Good, very good. Then I'll kill you along with him!"

An illusory gray scythe burst from Lolita's body and arrived before the High Priest in an instant.

"They've started fighting!" Liewen's expression changed.

Though he could not hear what the High Priest and Lolita had communicated about, seeing Lolita attack told him that the negotiations had certainly broken down.

"Lolita is determined to kill me." Liewen's gaze turned icy.

Lolita would rather fight the High Priest to the death than spare him. Her killing intent ran deep indeed.

The gray scythe struck the green mask on the High Priest's face.

The gray scythe was a Soul Attack. Material defenses were useless against it; it would directly enter the body and attack the mind.

But the gray scythe was blocked.

A small white flower grew from the green mask on the High Priest's face.

The gray scythe cut into the small white flower. Its petals fluttered away and vanished between heaven and earth, while the gray scythe visibly shrank.

"Humph!"

Lolita snorted coldly. The gray scythe suddenly exploded, turning into a cloud of gray mist that enveloped the High Priest completely.

A wave of shocked cries rose from within Yulan City.

Though the citizens of the imperial capital did not understand what was happening or know Lolita's identity, seeing someone fight the High Priest naturally made them support the High Priest.

Now that the High Priest seemed to have been struck by her opponent's attack, they all grew worried.

The gray mist churned, and within the roiling mist, a green speck of light appeared.

At first, it was merely an insignificant dot. Then it rapidly multiplied, one becoming two, two becoming three...

Very soon, countless green specks connected into light, swallowing all the gray mist.

The Laws of Death excelled at the soul, but the Life Law also excelled at the soul. In a clash of souls, the High Priest was not at a disadvantage.

The green light began to contract, revealing the High Priest's figure once more. The green mask on her face remained completely unchanged.

All the light condensed into a green leaf in the High Priest's right hand.

The leaf was lush and verdant. With a flick of the High Priest's hand, it became like a bolt of green lightning and shot toward Lolita.

"Humph!"

Lolita snorted, and an invisible ripple spread outward before her. The leaf collided with the ripple, and the two canceled each other out, vanishing without a trace.

"The two of them seem evenly matched," Liewen thought.

"Lolita, go back," the High Priest said calmly.

"Catherine, it has only just begun. Do you think you can stop me already?"

Lolita sneered. As she spoke, an azure figure emerged from her body.
