Background / History
Liewen was originally an ordinary worker from Blue Star. After dying in a traffic accident, he transmigrated into the Coiling Dragon world as the illegitimate son of Viscount Andrew of the Fenlai Kingdom. His birth mother died giving birth to him, and Viscount Andrew's legal wife mistreated him throughout his childhood. His father provided tuition and living expenses but otherwise kept him at a distance. 1 2
Having read Coiling Dragon in his former life, Liewen knew Linley's future importance. His system rewarded him for witnessing decisive moments in Linley's life, initially granting potential upgrades. He first observed Linley obtain the Coiling Dragon Ring, then used the reward to raise his potential to Level 9 Warrior. 1
After witnessing Linley's meeting with Doehring Cowart and later Bebe, Liewen's potential rose first to Saint-level Peak and then to Saint-level limit. He remained near Linley's path without revealing himself, using the rewards to accelerate his own cultivation. 2 4
Liewen left the Andrew estate and spent seven years training in the Magical Beast Mountain Range. He hunted magical beasts, sold their crystal cores, accumulated nearly a million gold coins, and mastered Draw Heaven and Earth. 6
During the destruction of Fenlai Kingdom, Liewen took custody of the infant Laina after Kuhn entrusted her to him. He raised her publicly as his younger sister, arranged a wet nurse for her, and protected her from the Radiant Church. 12 20
In the Higher Planes, Liewen joined the Ron Clan army on Meteor Archipelago for protection and resources. His Fate clone later ascended to godhood, while his Light cultivation continued to advance. 73
After becoming involved with the Apostle Castle, the Four Divine Beasts Clan conflict, and the Planar Battlefield, Liewen became a Commander-level expert. Teresia recruited him as a Sovereign's Emissary and supplied him with a soul-defense Sovereign Artifact, Wind Sovereign Power, and a teleportation token. 124 125
Appearance
Liewen is a black-haired man with a well-proportioned build and an appearance described as above average. At eighteen, he stood approximately 1.8 meters tall. 2
- Short black hair. 2
- Commonly recognized in later years as the “White-Clad Light Saint.” 28
- His body eventually became comparable to a material-defense Sovereign Artifact. 127
Personality
Liewen is pragmatic, patient, and intensely focused on cultivation. He consistently prioritizes strength, information, and resources over status, romance, or public attention. Even after his battles became widely circulated, he preferred to remain low-key and continue cultivating. 26 79
He is strategic in both combat and long-term planning. He purchases property in anticipation of disasters, uses Fate Puppets to gather intelligence, and waits through years of conflict to act at the most advantageous moment. 8 118 120
Liewen can also be ruthless when pursuing power or protecting those under his care. He tortured an ascetic for high-level Light magic and killed enemies who threatened him, yet he is consistently protective and generous toward Laina. 12 18 166
Abilities & Skills
Witnessing System
Liewen's system initially rewards him for witnessing pivotal events in Linley's life.
- Early rewards grant potential upgrade counts. 1 2 4
- Potential upgrades dramatically increase his cultivation speed. 1 6
- After his potential reaches its limit, witnessing causes changes to his soul rather than further potential growth. 160
- Witnessing Linley's four-clone soul mutation led to time acceleration within his soul and the emergence of Space-Time Power. 160
Laws of Light
Liewen's primary path is the Laws of Light. He learned Light magic from Level 7 through Forbidden Spells and gradually developed mastery across multiple profound mysteries. 12 41
- Purification — His principal offensive and defensive mystery; he can fuse hundreds of rays into concentrated beams. 17 38
- Light Element — Used to form Light Armor and manipulate Light Element for offense and defense. 21
- Soul Deterrence — A soul-type mystery whose basics he learned through exchanges with Desri. 41
- Light Speed — Entered this mystery after sparring with Bluefire's second brother. 70
- Sacred — Fused with Light Element, Soul Deterrence, and Light Speed before beginning five-mystery fusion. 120
- Light and Shadow Clones — The final Light mystery he began cultivating after his soul mutation. 87 160
Purification Techniques
Liewen applies the Profundity of Purification to material and soul-based combat.
- Purification Beam — Condenses Light into a destructive beam; later incorporates soul attacks. 17 34
- Purification Guard — Defensive technique capable of resisting the Great Prophecy. 38
- Star Flame — His strongest technique at the time of Teresia's appearance, though it was effortlessly broken by a Sovereign. 124
Rules of Fate
Liewen developed a second major cultivation path after obtaining the Great Prophecy method.
- Studied the Great Prophecy cultivation method taken from Benjamin. 38
- Experienced an epiphany concerning change and constancy in fate. 60
- His Fate God Clone became a Highgod after comprehending Fate Manipulation. 85
- Fate Puppet Thread — Binds and controls targets as Fate Puppets. 85
- Prophecy Attack and Chains of Fate — Enhanced after he fully understood the Heavenly Fate Stone Token's Fate knowledge. 104
Physical Body Refinement
Liewen continuously strengthened his body through training, medicinal baths, magical beast resources, and divine beast Essence Blood.
- Used medicinal baths during his early warrior training. 4 10
- Reached Highgod Artifact-level physical strength through Heaven-Swallowing Beast Essence Blood and other supplies. 87 89
- Used Azure Dragon Clan Essence Blood with limited but measurable results. 104
- Refined Devourer Race Essence Blood with Sovereign Power to attain a body comparable to a Sovereign Artifact. 127
- His physical strength and five-mystery fusion allow his material attacks to rival Grand Perfection experts. 159
Innate Divine Ability and Space-Time Power
Liewen developed an innate divine ability after his system began altering his soul.
- Originally grants spatial displacement within one meter, affecting himself, others, or unsecured objects. 112
- Cannot individually move blood-bound Interspatial Rings or divine artifacts. 112
- Later evolves to influence time flow, comparable to Linley's Dragon Roar. 160
- Space-Time Power greatly increases his speed and allows him to resist the pull of spatial rifts. 159
- Its combat effect applies only to Liewen himself. 159
- The power cannot be cultivated through the world's Laws or Rules. 160
Rules of Destruction and Laws of Wind
Liewen initially could sense only the Laws of Light and Rules of Fate.
- Absorbing Destruction Sovereign Power enabled him to cultivate the Rules of Destruction. 160 166
- Absorbing Wind Sovereign Power similarly enabled him to cultivate the Laws of Wind. 160
- His Destruction cultivation progressed much more slowly than his Light and Fate paths. 166
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Soul-defense Sovereign Artifact — Chosen after becoming Teresia's emissary. 125
- Wind Sovereign Power — Twenty drops granted by Teresia. 125
- Sovereign's Token — Allows free Planar Teleportation. 125
- Angel Battle Sword — Used to kill Benjamin with a Purification Beam; later given to Lena. 38 166
- Interspatial Ring — Stores spoils, resources, and captured items. 85
- Heavenly Fate Stone Token — Recognized Liewen and guided him to the Mountain of Fate. 104
- Supreme Life Sword — Obtained after Linley relinquished ownership, though its incompatible attribute only increased Liewen's power tenfold. 191
Relationships
- Linley Baruch — The central figure of Liewen's witnessing missions. Liewen initially observed him from afar, later met him openly, fought beside him, and developed mutual respect through sparring and shared campaigns. 1 31 159
- Laina / Lena — Kuhn entrusted Laina to Liewen as an infant. He raised and protected her like a younger sister, gave her gifts, and later equipped her with artifacts and Sovereign Power for her journey through Hell. 12 18 166

- Royce — Fellow Ron Clan warrior and Liewen's friend in the Celestial Realm. 73 87
- Resjing — Ally and squad leader in the Planar Battlefield. They traded Commander Badges for Sovereign Power and fought alongside each other. 136 141
- Leihong — Resjing's associate and Liewen's Planar Battlefield ally. 136 159
- Teresia / Qingya — Wind-style Lowgod Sovereign who recruited Liewen as an emissary. 124 125

- Desri — Light Laws practitioner who helped Liewen gain a deeper grasp of Soul Deterrence through sparring. 41
