Douluo: The Slaughter Star Returns, Settling Accounts with Bibi Dong from the Start
Author: Tianqi Douluo
Synopsis:
When he was young, Qian Xun'an, the younger brother of Qian Xunji, accidentally entered a strange plane.
Qian Xun'an cultivated in that plane for countless years, finally becoming a Limit Douluo before breaking through the plane and returning to the Douluo Continent.
By then, the Douluo Continent had changed beyond recognition. His elder brother, Qian Xunji, had been killed, and his father had withdrawn from worldly affairs. The Spirit Hall, the foundation their Qian Family had built over thousands of years, had fallen into the hands of outsiders.
After learning the truth, Qian Xun'an resolved to avenge his elder brother, kill Tang Hao, settle accounts with Bibi Dong, reclaim Spirit Hall, and unite the continent!
Qian Xun'an faced everyone without flinching:
Father, justice and your debts are no excuse for cowardice!
Tang Hao, you killed my elder brother. Today is the day you die!
Bibi Dong, Spirit Hall gave you everything. Is this how you repay it? You ungrateful, unrepentant snake, today you will die!
Years later, seated upon the throne and facing the gods, Qian Xun'an said with a laugh:
I am invincible among mortals. If I do not fight the gods, who should I fight?
Spirit City.
A young man dressed in black stood before Spirit City.
He raised his eyes slightly, gazing at the enormous city gate before him.
"Spirit City!"
"Have I finally returned?"
The man was named Qian Xun'an. He was the youngest son of Qian Daoliu, the Great Enshrined of Spirit Hall, and the younger brother of Qian Xunji.
Qian Xun'an had once been hailed as Spirit Hall's greatest genius.
But when he was ten, he and Qian Xunji had gone to the Star Dou Great Forest to hunt Spirit Beasts. There, Qian Xun'an had wandered into the depths of the forest.
He had disappeared without a trace.
As soon as Qian Xunji learned his younger brother was missing, he led the elders of Spirit Hall to search for him, but they couldn't find any sign of Qian Xun'an.
Later, Qian Xun'an's father, Qian Daoliu, also came to the Star Dou Great Forest with men many times to look for him, but he never found him.
In the end, everyone believed he was dead.
Even Qian Daoliu had lost all hope. He had originally intended for Qian Xun'an to inherit the position of Pope, but when Qian Xun'an disappeared, Qian Daoliu had no choice but to pass it to Qian Xunji.
But who could have known that Qian Xun'an had survived?
After entering the Star Dou Great Forest, Qian Xun'an had stumbled into a strange plane. That world was terrifying: white bones lay everywhere, and all kinds of powerful Spirit Beasts roamed the land.
And that wasn't all. There were countless legendary creatures—dragons!
By sheer luck, Qian Xun'an had survived. To stay alive, he began cultivating there.
At last, perseverance paid off. After an unknown number of years, Qian Xun'an finally surpassed himself and became a Limit Douluo.
At long last, he was able to leave that place.
Now that he had returned, he had no idea how many years had passed.
"Time has changed everything. I wonder if Father and my elder brother are well," Qian Xun'an murmured.
Then he stepped forward.
The guards looked curiously at the newcomer.
He wore a black robe, with a hood and a bamboo hat that made him look like no ordinary person.
The guards immediately stopped him. "Who are you? This is Spirit City. You can't just barge in!"
"My name is Qian Xun'an," he replied calmly. "I want to see your Pope."
"What did you say? You think you can see His Holiness the Pope whenever you want? You say your surname is Qian? I've seen plenty of people like you. Are you trying to pass yourself off as one of Spirit Hall's nobles?"
The guard looked at Qian Xun'an and sneered.
Qian Xun'an furrowed his brows. After a moment's silence, he said, "If that's the case, please report my arrival. Tell them my name is Qian Xun'an, and someone will come to receive me."
Spirit City was, after all, his family's territory. It wouldn't be right to force his way in.
Besides, now that he was back, he wanted to return in glory. What sense was there in sneaking in?
But the guard wouldn't let it go. "Get lost, get lost! Plenty of people like you try to sneak into Spirit City. This is Spirit City, not a place just any stray cat or dog can enter!"
At those words, a trace of anger crossed Qian Xun'an's face. "What did you say?"
"Move along! If you don't, we'll throw you out," the guard barked.
"Wait!"
Just then, a clear voice rang out from the city gate.
Qian Xun'an looked up and saw a beautiful young woman standing there. She wore golden armor, and her tall, graceful figure was striking. Her breathtaking beauty could rival that of any nation, leaving those who saw her dazzled.
Her short golden hair fell loosely over her shoulders, revealing a perfect profile. Her golden eyes gleamed with lively light; her delicate nose was straight, and her cherry-red lips were lightly pressed together. She radiated a bold, heroic air.
The soldiers immediately saluted her. "Greetings, Saintess!"
The Saintess was none other than the current Pope's disciple, Hu Liena, the leading figure of Spirit Hall's younger generation and one of the members of the Golden Generation.
Hu Liena nodded slightly, then looked at the two squads of soldiers. "What's going on?"
A soldier spoke up. "Your Holiness, this brat is pretending to be a member of the Qian Family and trying to break into Spirit City!"
Hu Liena walked toward Qian Xun'an, step by step. He calmly sized up the Saintess before him. She seemed to be only a Soul King, at level fifty.
He couldn't help shaking his head. Had Spirit Hall's Saintesses really grown this weak?
Hu Liena studied Qian Xun'an and asked calmly, "You claim to be a member of the Qian Family?"
"That's right," Qian Xun'an replied calmly. "Please inform the Pope. Once you give them my name, they'll know who I am."
Hu Liena looked at him coldly. "Members of the Qian Family are nobles of Spirit Hall. How come I've never seen you? The Soul Master Tournament is about to begin, so I think you're just trying to sneak into Spirit City!"
Qian Xun'an frowned.
His request wasn't unreasonable. He only wanted someone to inform them, yet even that was proving difficult.
Why was Spirit Hall's Saintess so unreasonable?
Qian Xun'an shook his head. It looked like he had no choice but to force his way in.
Hu Liena continued, "Get lost. This isn't a place for you, and you have no right to pretend to be a member of the Qian Family!"
At those words, even Qian Xun'an's expression darkened. He looked at Hu Liena and snorted. "In that case, I'll just go in myself!"
As he spoke, Qian Xun'an stepped forward.
BOOM!
The ground trembled beneath them.
Qian Xun'an's aura erupted in an instant.
The next moment, a terrifying pressure enveloped the area, forcing the two squads of guards to their knees.
Even Hu Liena felt the overwhelming pressure. It was as if a mountain had fallen on her, leaving her unable to breathe.
Hu Liena stared at Qian Xun'an in shock.
Although she was only a level-fifty Soul King, her talent allowed her to withstand the full-force attacks of opponents at her level. She could even defeat opponents of a higher level.
But Qian Xun'an's aura left her breathless. She knew that this man was far beyond anything she'd expected—strong, unbelievably strong!
THUD!
Hu Liena dropped to her knees right in front of Qian Xun'an.
Qian Xun'an strolled past her and said, "Spirit Hall's Saintess is this weak now? It seems my elder brother's taste isn't very good."
Hu Liena remained kneeling beside Qian Xun'an, stunned and unable to believe what had happened.
Only after Qian Xun'an had left did the terrifying pressure dissipate.
Everyone present wore a look of shock.
Hu Liena slowly rose from the ground and immediately said, "Hurry and report to His Holiness the Pope! Tell him someone is forcing his way into Spirit City! And... tell him that person is extremely powerful, possibly a Titled Douluo, and intends to harm Spirit City!"
"Yes!"
The soldiers immediately hurried off toward Spirit Hall.
Hu Liena watched Qian Xun'an's departing figure. She felt not the slightest trace of fear.
