Background and History

Eternal Heaven is one of four Dao Lords who divided and exploited the spirit of heaven and earth through separate systems. His system is the Dao of the Five Insects, through which the life cycles of grassland creatures—from birth to death—became pieces on his Dao path. His portion of the world-sealing system is the Bloodlines lock. 485 552

His authority is centered on the grasslands and the Boundless Sea of Clouds, the core divine kingdom of his principles. The white mist covering the grasslands is part of the order under his control; when Li Tui begins stripping away the definition of the Five Insects, the mist disperses and the grasslands revert toward a wilder primordial state. 500 533

Eternal Heaven planted the Sage Auspice in the mortal world as a long-term arrangement. Over a thousand years, the fragment accumulated faith, fortune, karmic links, and energy from the grasslands, functioning as a transit hub connected to Eternal Heaven's own karmic thread. He expected it to mature into an “auspicious treasure” and provide a successful harvest. 521 523

Li Tui instead refined the Sage Auspice and copied Eternal Heaven's Dao imprint to deceive him. Believing the fragment remained obedient, Eternal Heaven supplied source destiny luck and later his own heart's blood, unknowingly helping Li Tui penetrate the seal around his previous-life Dao Infant. Eternal Heaven also blocked the Five Elements Dao Lord's investigation to protect his grassland territory and secret arrangement. 524 525 526

When Li Tui reclaimed his Dao Infant and true body, the karmic chain sustaining Eternal Heaven's scheme shattered. Eternal Heaven suffered a severe origin injury and attacked Li Tui, but restrained himself from escalating into a full Dao Lord battle because exposing his Chaos-stealing and auspicious-creature scheme could draw the other Dao Lords' hostility. 528

Eternal Heaven later attempted to entrap Li Tui through an Eternal Life Curse, only for Li Tui to turn the curse seal into a path into the Boundless Sea of Clouds. Within his own divine kingdom, Eternal Heaven was forced back as Li Tui devoured portions of his origin and transformed the laws supporting his Dharma Aspect. 532 533 534

To suppress Li Tui, Eternal Heaven invoked the Heaven and Earth Lockdown, drawing upon the converging laws of all four Dao Lords. Li Tui escaped by severing his connection to the world and tearing open a void fissure, though the escape damaged his cultivation. 535

During the later crisis in the Nine Provinces, Eternal Heaven joined the other Dao Lords in stabilizing calamities and resealing the Spirit of Heaven and Earth. He remained wary of the alliance's stability, contributing only a subtle thread of golden blood to the final foundation net rather than exerting himself fully. 542 551 553

He is patient enough to cultivate a scheme for a thousand years, leaving concealed restrictions and karmic back doors within his creations. However, his confidence in his own plans repeatedly becomes a weakness: Li Tui exploits his satisfaction over the Sage Auspice's apparent success, his eagerness to complete the “auspicious treasure,” and his desire for retaliation. 520 523 526 532
