Background

Ying reincarnated into the body of a five-year-old White Room student after dying of a heart attack in his previous life. He inherited the body's memories and chose to endure the White Room curriculum while deliberately concealing his full ability and suppressing his emotions. His attempt to remain detached proved mentally exhausting. 1

After wishing for the ability to erase time, Ying involuntarily skipped ten years and awakened in an older body. The White Room Assassin System later identified the lost decade, combat ability, academic ability, and the recovered memories as its beginner rewards. 1 2

Tsukishiro gave Ying the name Baiye Ying and sent him to Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School with orders to force Ayanokoji Kiyotaka to drop out. Ying privately resolved not to carry out the mission, preferring to enjoy the school life he had lost. 1 2
