Ansu's sudden appearance left the three Demon Generals exchanging looks, none daring to rush forward.

Shadowbind watched the human siblings embracing, then slowly turned her head toward Earthsplit beside her.
"Why would he appear at this exact moment? Could he have... seen through tonight's surprise attack all along?"
The chill of a conspiracy crept up her spine.
