Cecilia spent her childhood wandering through the Empire as a demon-blooded demi-human. Hunger, cold, and repeated escapes from Church Demon Hunter Squads defined her early life; at eight years old, she awakened powerful magic and killed members of a pursuing squad. 15 134

After reaching Benalu City, Cecilia used low-level magic, combat ability, and cunning to lead groups of homeless children. She claims to have taken over nearby gangs and become the “big sister” of the drifters in her district. 134

Samantha later brought Cecilia into the Echo of Truth Cult and trained her in magic. Cecilia believed Samantha was the closest thing she had to family, despite recognizing that Samantha and the cult’s elders distrusted demi-humans. In truth, Samantha had cultivated Cecilia as a potential vessel for a soul-possession ritual intended to prolong her own life. 50 51 169

Before becoming cult leader, Cecilia served as the Echo of Truth’s strongest enforcer. She had little interest in the organization’s stated goal of restoring the Ancient Magic Empire; her real motivation was becoming strong enough that no one could threaten or control her again. 15 39

Cecilia considers magic intuitive, takes pride in her ability to conceal magical fluctuations, and prefers overwhelming force when a problem can be solved directly.
