In the end, they left the Half-Elf at the Underground Base.
By now, the Star Gate Council had essentially become Thor's ally, so using their facilities didn't risk any complications over conflicting interests.
Besides, the Underground Base was fully equipped, and its staff were familiar with the Worm Queen. It was a ready-made research facility; it would be a waste not to use it.
With the Half-Elf there, Byron would probably be stationed at the Underground Base most of the time from now on, so Thor got the house he'd been renting.
After flashing away from the Underground Base, Thor appeared beside Gorsa.
Gorsa was leaning back on his large pink sofa, listening to several Tier 2 Wizards temporarily chosen by the Star-Gazing Tower report on matters.
Since they were facing Gorsa, the wizards making their reports immediately saw Thor appear at Gorsa's right side.
"Ah, Wizard Thor, you..."
But they had barely begun their greeting when they realized the aura surrounding Thor was completely different from before. Standing beside Gorsa, the two of them radiated equal levels of mental pressure.
The wizards below fell silent on the spot.
Gorsa turned his head to look at Thor. "That teleportation ability of yours is rather interesting."
The Star-Gazing Tower had Witchcraft Arrays for defense, as well as countermeasures against spatial Witchcraft. Several Isolation Arrays had even been added to the meeting hall where Gorsa was now.
Otherwise, an enemy could teleport in and easily breach their stronghold, causing tremendous damage.
Yet Thor had entered with a simple teleport, without even triggering the Star-Gazing Tower's defense system.
"I've seen you teleport before. It seems you've grown even stronger after advancing. I didn't detect any spatial fluctuations at all."
Thor nodded. "It's a powerful way to move, but it has plenty of limitations."
