Jenna punched the bedframe, making it go "thunk." The sound startled her so badly that her nerves went on edge.

She pressed a hand to her chest and took a moment to calm down before continuing to think.

Now's not the time to think about this. Tomorrow—tomorrow, I'll go find Keli and see if she's willing to help.

What if she isn't?

Night deepened, but the Candle Lamp in Jenna's room stayed lit all night.

Early the next morning, Jenna went to the sixth floor of the West Tower.

She lived on the seventh floor.

Jenna didn't know how to approach Keli, and she was afraid that someone with ill intentions might notice her lingering outside Keli's door.

All she could do was watch Keli's door from a distance and wait for her to come out.

"Jenna?" Luoji's voice sounded faintly surprised beside her.

It startled the distracted Jenna.

"Luoji." Coming back to herself, Jenna greeted him blankly.

The moment Luoji opened his dormitory door, he saw Jenna standing outside.

His eyes were full of joy, but when he opened his mouth, he couldn't think of anything else to say.

"Luoji," Jenna knew he liked her, and couldn't help asking when she saw him, "Luoji, could you, could you come with me..."

"Hm? What?" Luoji's eyes suddenly lit up. He waited eagerly for Jenna to finish her sentence, practically rising onto his tiptoes.

"No." Jenna suddenly regretted it. "No, it's nothing. Forget it. Thank you."

Jenna tried to force a radiant smile, but it pushed the eager Luoji away once more.

Luoji felt both curious and disappointed, but he didn't want to put Jenna in a difficult position, so he managed a smile. "It's all right. If you ever have any problems, you can come to me."
